El grupo DarkSun se formo en el año 2002 a partir de la escisión del grupo Nörthwind, formación con la que llegaron a vender mas de 12.000 copias de sus dos elepés.
La apuesta fue muy fuerte: el primer disco de DarkSun contó con una grabación de lujo en los estudios VPS de Alemania junto a Ingo Cjavkoski ( Rage) y se mezclo en House of Music Studios con Achim Köhler ( Primal Fear, Sinner…). Ademas colaboraron estrellas internacionales de la talla de Kilo Loureiro ( Angra ), que tal escuchar el disco no dudó en participar.
Las criticas no se hicieron de rogar y dejaron a “El Legado” (como fue llamado finalmente el disco) como uno de las mejores discos nacionales del año y a Darksun como una de las grandes revelaciones. La gira de presentación no fue menos: lleno en todas las salas y excelentes criticas.
La continuación de “EL Legado” no se hizo esperar y se grabó durante el verano del 2005 de nuevo por Ingo Cjavkoski en Alemania, pero tambien con la ayuda de Lars Ratz( Metalium) y Dennos Ward ( Angra, PC 69) y con la colaboración de lujo de Peavy Wagner ( Rage) cantando en un tema. De nuevo la critica se rindio ante Darksun calificando a esta album , “ El Lado Oscuro” como una obra maestra del metal nacional.
El Lado Oscuro ha sido grabado tambien en ingles llamandose “ The Dark Side “ y sera editado en septiembre del 2007 por FC Metal Recordings.
Darksun ha colaborado con Rage en su ultimo album “Speak of the Death“ para la version bonus track del tema “ Fullmoon” adaptando la letra al castellano.

Reviews were incredibly good, stating that "El Legado" (as the debut was called) was one of the best albums of the year, and the band was a real great newcomer. The tour was even better, as it sold out in most of the venues and DarkSun received excellent live reviews.
The next step was a new album, "El Lado Oscuro," and they recorded it during the summer of 2005. Once again they worked with Ingo Cjavkoski in Germany, but this time had Dennis Ward (Angra, PC 69) handle the mix, and Lars Ratz from Metalium assist with producing the vocals. They also had an incredible guest appearance: Peavy Wagner from Rage sang on the song "Prisoners Of Fate." Once again the reviews were as great as possible, saying that "El Lado Oscuro" was one of the best metal albums of the year.
"El Lado Oscuro" has just been recorded in the English language under the title "The Dark Side," and it's about to be released by FC Metal Recordings in September 2007.
DARKSUN also collaborated with RAGE on their "Speak Of The Dead" album, creating a Spanish version of the song "Full Moon" entitled "La Luna Reine," which appeared as a bonus track.

The summer is upon us! It's upon me at least :D Survived 5 exams this semester and pretty well I might add. So now's the time to do as little as possible and relax!

heyyy que si me gusta, me fascina es una de las mejores bandas que he escuchado... a unque por estos lados es un poco dificil de consegir, pero me he soyado los dos albunes
