About me: DARKWAVE is a tribute to all of the great early New Wave, Goth, and Alternative sounds of the late 70's and early 80's. This time period was the starting point for modern music that was off the beaten path of AOR rock radio, with pioneers utilizing the first synthesizers and electronic elements to create sounds as yet unheard.
We strive to bring you to a time and place... an experience that ushered in futurism, modern life, and silly haircuts. It was also the cauldron of which the likes of Gary Numan, Bauhaus, Echo and the Bunnymen, and the Psychedelic Furs first gave fire to the darker sounds... plus lots of eyeliner. We are inspired by this music, and as seasoned pros in the Bay Area music scene, we perform this material with accuracy, attitude, and a fire for live performance.

Ok -- so last night I was up late watching Metal Mania on VH1Classics (fucking great channel by the way), and the cheesiest of cheese 80's metal videos appeared before my beer goggled eyes!
