Darla is an independent music label, distributor & online retailer. I started Darla Records with my wife Chandra in 1994 as a patron of the arts in order to provide a safe & sane avenue for our label and friends' labels to get to the people, to go direct to retailers and to trade with other distributors worldwide. Darla is now home to a fabulously diverse group of artists (see side bar, left) and labels such as 555, Acuarela, Ad Noiseam, American Laundromat, American Patchwork, Attack Nine, Audio Dregs Recordings, Elefant, Green UFOs, Houston Party, Hymen, Labrador, Le Grand Magistery, LTM, Matinee, n5MD, Other Electricities, Resonant, Siesta, Static Discos, Vivo, Words On Music and many more. Darla HQ is located in The Avocado Capitol of the World - the hills of rural north county San Diego, CA. We're remote enough to have peace & quiet but not so far out UPS can't come for morning delivery and evening pick up five days a week.
