Dr. Darlene Allen-Nichols was born and raised in Chicago Illinois. As an acclaimed gospel preacher, motivational speaker, and community activist, she has traveled throughout the United States and surrounding areas spreading the good news of hope and truth. She has been the keynote speaker for various functions including youth conventions, marriage retreats, women's empowerment seminars, and various life enrichment seminars. Dr. Darlene is a radio and television personality and can be seen weekly on the Total Living Network (Monday Mornings at 5:00am CST). She has had several appearances on The Word Network with Angie Ray Ministries, and Bishop William A. Ellis.
Dr. Darlene received both a Bachelor’s and Master's degree from DePaul University, and also holds a Masters degree and a Doctorate of Divinity from the Grace Theological Seminary. She is a wife, mother, career woman, community activist, and motivational speaker.
In 2000, DAN Ministries was founded by Dr. Darlene Allen-Nichols under the unction of God. It was in that year, that DAN Ministries hosted its first prayer breakfast and many lives were changed and impacted in a powerful way. Each year we endeavor to encourage and inspire people to push beyond doubt and fear, and believe in themselves to reach heights unknown. With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith. It is because of this perseverance that we can say - With God, all things are possible.
Dr. Darlene is currently employed by Northern Trust Global Investments as Vice President of Investment Administration. She has been happily married to Eugene Nichols Jr. since 1996. Together, they have two sons; Eugene III, affectionately known as E.J, and Austin.

I am truly blessed with the gift of your friendship. I'm very sorry that I haven't been in touch like I should have lately. With all that has been going on with Winston I have not gotten too many chances to be online. The weeks have really gone by fast. I praise God so much that Winston is improving and is almost back to 100%. Now we’re going through an uncertain future with JJ as he remains in ICU at the animal hospital. Hopefully everything will be fine and back to normal soon. Will you please keep our family in your prayers? Thank you for understanding and continuing to be my friend.
