Daron Little is NOT a "cowboy singer". But rather, a working ranch cowboy/buckaroo that happens to be a singer/songwriter. He has cowboyed thru Colorado, Nebraska, Montana, and currently resides out of Encampment Wyoming on the A Cross ranch near French Creek.
He loves family life and enjoys the time spent in the summer riding , checking on & gathering cattle with his wife and three daughters. His music is a reflection of countryand ranch life. He writes about what he knows and that is cowboy life. His music is a cross between Dave Stamey, Mike Beck, and Jack Johnson. He is influenced by everyone from Muddy Waters to Chris Ledoux to Ian Tyson to Bob Marley. Good music is good music.
He has performed Savor Saratoga (A local weekend festival showcasing artists and musicians), The Grand Encampment Cowboy Gathering twice (He played the Night show once and opened for the Yampa Valley Boys and Yyvonne Hollenbeck and will be there again in 09) as well as the Christmas show for the Carbon County Stockgrowers Association. He also performed weekly for a guest ranch in Montana (North of West Yellowstone) in the summer of 07.
He writes songs for the working cowboy about ranch life and hopes that all can enjoy it. He feels that to write cowboy music you need to live it otherwise it is just "romance"... and not reality.
