Darren Chilson

About me:

I am a self motivated person that likes to keep moving. I like to feel like I am accomplishing something all the time. I have been this way since I was kid and I guess I am just a bigger kid now.

I work at Boeing as 777 Production Manager and I have the first team that starts installing all of the Interiors and Amenities inside the plane. I currently have about 65 people that work for me or should I say I work for them. I try to make it a two way street and remove road blocks for them so they can do their work. It is frustrating at times but overall I love my job and the people I work with. Some people are just more challenging then others. I also like the fact that I have the opportunity to teach the newer employees what I know and hopefully I can make a difference in their lives.

I own and operate "One Night Events" here in Seattle. This is another passion of mine. It started out about 10 years ago with me working VIP for another production company named Tripwire at a small club called Contour. Over the years I worked with many other production companies in Seattle and I took with me what I thought were the best attributes of each one. I am confident with my new company that we will reach new heights and with my team we will be in the forefront of most major events here in Seattle.

I also love motorcycles and all things that come with it. I have the scares and broken bones to prove it. I use to race motocross and arenacross from the time I was 13 until I was 27. I had a blast doing this and it kept me in shape and out of trouble as a youth. I had quit for about 2 years after I had compressed my L5 vertebrae in in my lower back when I was 21. Everyone told me I was crazy for starting back up. I am glad I did as I was able to pick up sponsors and win the 1994 NW Arenacross Championship for my class and take 3rd overall in another class. I am past the stage of racing and I don't have anything to prove anymore. I just love to go riding with my buddies and getting away from it all whether it be on my Supermoto on the street or my KXF in the dirt...I can't get enough of it.

Last but not least I have always wanted to be able to help out with people that are less fortunate then myself so I have made it one of my life goals to go on this venture starting this year. I plan on giving back to the community through the following orginizations: Childrens Hospital of Seattle, Special Olympics of Washington, Friends of Youth located in Kirkland Washington and the PETA organization.
