Darren Freeman was born June 5th, 1967 in Toronto Ontario to Owen Freeman, a drug store manager, and Audrey Freeman, postal worker and homemaker.
In 73', his parents had enough of the city life and moved back to their home province of Newfoundland where Darren lived until the age of 18. Influenced early with country music, Darren would sit and pluck away at his Dad's old "K" guitar until finally one day there were more good sounds than bad coming out of it. He didn't start taking music seriously until the age of 23 when he realized he had learned enough to take it a step further.
He has played with several Canadian acts such as Midnight Blue, Triple Vision, The Delta River Band, and Freeman & Hachey.
Today Darren makes his living performing in many different Southern Ontario venues and has released several cover albums.
Darren is looking forward to the completion of his first independantly recorded cd hoped to be completed by the end of 2006.
