I'm from N. Ireland and currently live in Matsumoto, Japan.
The music i make results from a combination of digital sounds generated from software and field recordings. Often the field recordings are processed, but other times are left untreated. The sounds I look to create tend to be textural and warm, laying down drones and atmospheres on top of which fragmented melodies appear and disappear in the mix.
I have collaborated with various people including Allan Hughes (Belfast sound/video artist), Lezrod (Colombian sound artist), Takahiro Kawaguchi (sound/performance artist and field-recordist) and Hiroyuki Ura (sound artist and co-runner of Two-lines label in Tokyo).
I have released music on net/CD-R labels including Oblast, Test-tube, Factotum Arts, Cherry Music, 2063music, Standard-klik-music, zymogen, Rain Music and Peppermill.
Hello Darren, thanks for your interest - Just have heard all your tracks here - times full of pleasure. Respect! - well done and with a deep emotional texture... high esteem from Hamburg Udo
1 month short of a year since tunnel time, topeye, and i'm 60 Numazu came together in denver, colorado like a clan of rabid badgers with intent to combine ambient and jazz music in such a way that it might inspire scientologists everywhere to rise up in falafel war. despite the distraction of a tasteless but funny poem written on the larimer lounge bathroom wall, Numazu fearlessly and successfully noodled in the backwoods swamp of their collective mind. thanks to rope swing cities derrick hart, justin robert, kate morris & kirill nikolai have destroyed the walmart gnomes (you know them nasty little things that hide in the store encouraging customers to buy a bunch of useless crap) in the form of a courageous little music group called Numazu...

"à côté" is out now on mOAR (new subdivision of and/OAR)
"The first MP3-only release on the mOAR subdivision of and/OAR, is one hazy mysterious daydream of an album from French sound artist Gabriel Hernandez (aka GoGooo). Perhaps if Ingmar Bergman, François Truffaut and Andrei Tarkovsky met for tea to discuss a possible collaboration on a short film, this might be what it could possibly sound like ?"
Guest appearances include Felicia Atkinson (Sylvain Chauveau collaborator), Jez Riley French, Paw Grabowski and Dale Berning.
