T.D Black Sun in the album the Territory of Absence  achieves practically impossible - connects in one track elements of styles from almost opposed directions of music: drone, dark ambient and Zubacheva Elena and Marushkina Tatyana female classical opera singing.

Beautiful female voices, songs literally words, and in them suddenly appear oppressive notes, buzz, elements almost a hardcore. It is very unusual release for label Dars records.

We hope that you estimate this on good a strange sound alloy, will understand the loneliness penetrating the given cloth from 8 tracks. Make one step towards, step into this Territory of Absence, Territory of full absence of a cliche and classical representations about what music can be.

Neotnas - the project investigating sides of various electronic music which consists of three musicians. Without «Neotnas» any large festival of independent music in Urals area does not manage: «Electroline» (Chelyabinsk), «Ship of Freedom» (Chelyabinsk), «I.D.M.ology» (Ekaterinburg), and thematic parties in club «Garage Underground».

The group is actively engaged in live performances and studio work, but besides it, participates in various interesting media projects: music to performances "Returning", " White dance " (theatre-studio " Aritmia ", 2006), music to performance " Sports for idiots " (studio " Dummy ", 2006), new soundtrack to the first film of horrors "Cabinet of doctor Kaligari"" Das Cabinet Des Dr Caligari " (dir. R.Vine, Germany, 1919) within the limits of the project "Electrotheatre".

Neotnas was already featured on compilations «Slavosonic», «Space will be ours!», and the long-awaited debut album “Spak deti”, including the best tracks of the period 2004-2006 now follows. The name of an album “Spak deti” deeply symbolically also unites emotional sources and symbols, clear only to authors, however the word “deti” (russian for "children"), in our opinion, answers in it for the most "speaking" component of an album. A seeming simplicity of melodies, naivety, childishness borders with ideally worked post-IDM passages; the minimalism adjoins to deep sadly-nostalgic electronics. “Spak deti” is a string which will strongly connect your head, headphones and heart.

Shaman breath of Megalopolis. Circumjecta "Ulchi Hop".

Shadows of the ancient Ulchs on the heated asphalt roads of the megalopolis pursued by Andrey Zots.

The Ulch people inhabiting the lands along the lower reaches of the Amur river are known for their unusual and beautiful legend about the last shaman of the tribe who refused to unveil the ancient secrets when he was dying because the spirits did not name his successor to him. If the shaman line had not broken in such a tragic way and the Ulchs could have somehow mastered the Nord Modular programming or learned to use Reaktor, their music would have definitely resembled Circumjecta, an album by young musician Andrey Zots.

Andrey’s album is not another ethno pop music in the line or folklore tunes set up with a plain rhythm. Circumjecta music is an immersion, a thin undistinguishable line between a dream and reality, shaman breath of the megalopolis, of all invisible and unheard hidden in its depths. Following the Circumjecta music we all choose our own ways. Conceptualizing his works Andrey does not assign any definite forms to his music, but rather softly outlines the boundaries, letting the listeners plunge into fantasies, imagination, and create together with the author while the music is still on. Just listen…Your world is not everything. There is a totally different one out there, and it is the world of Circumjecta.



About the composer

Having graduated the Finance Academy and successfully fled from the sterile environment of a bank, Andrey started doing what he had always liked and been prone to– the sound - at the first opportunity popped up. He worked as a sound engineer at one of the Moscow radio production company, today he works in one of the newly appeared but already successful TV companies, and, who knows, maybe someday you will watch yet another Hollywood movie with sound effects skillfully mastered by Andrey.

Besides Circumjecta Andrey manages another project titled Bip Soup which combines, as one may think, incongruous things – techno and live improvisation. Opposed to other techno bands Bip Soup performs live only with no computers involved. They create music in real time, what makes each of their concerts different one from another and, no doubt, unforgettable.

Andrey’s passion for module programming environments goes beyond music projects. He also creates interactive installations. Among featured projects are remake of the popular Soviet electronic game for children - "Just you wait!" and "All-seeing Roentgen".

From ancient times human experienced exciting feelings at the sight of the night sky covered in stars, personifying space and all that is connected to it.
On April, 12, 1961 Jury Gagarin made the first space flight in history of mankind (on the spacecraft "East 1"), in 1 hour of 48 minutes circled the globe and safely landed in the vicinity of village Smelovki of the Saratov area.
In honor of this event people of Russia annually celebrates this day as - The Day of Astronautics, the greatest day in a life of mankind.
Space will be ours! - we believe that mankind cannot be stopped in the further research and studying of space, far planets and galaxies.
The theme of space always excited people of art - musicians, artists, poets. In this collection musicians have presented their view, at times unexpected, on connection of music, space, stars, planets, galaxies.

Album Ask me: what is it? Includes the tracks written during 2004-2005. Alexey Devjanin has been involved in electronic music since 1998. Under the name of STUD, hes been releasing IDM, ambient and downtempo tracks on various net labels, such as Kikapu, Kahvi, and Acediamusic. In May 2003 together with Brandon Huey he started a net label "Please Do Something" with the purpose of promoting talented, but unknown musicians from around the world, without any style restrictions and no concern about earning money.
Alexey also produced music for the Swiss net label Autoplate (sub label of Thinner) under the name of Gultskra Artikler. His first album "Group of Tourists", released in 2003 was one of the most sensational releases on Autoplate, presenting a unique mix of field recordings, folk improvisations and dense acoustic winter sounds.
Moscow residents certainly remember STUD from the massive electronic festival "Abracadabra", where he performed live with such artists as Hrvatski (USA), Donna Summer (USA), END (USA), Novel23 (Russia), SolarX (Russia). Hes also taken part in URBAN SOUNDSCAPE 3 - electronic music and videoart festival with audio and visual artists such as CD - R, Metro_NM, Gilles Aubry, Andrey Smirnov, Alexey Borisov, Inna Briz.
For the most part, the album is rather sad and even dark, due to the prevailing melancholic melodies and scary ambient pads (Mauvaise Honte, Novapt). At some points the music becomes more positive and reminiscent of Boards of Canadas childish nostalgia (Sunset Variations). Most of the tracks are based on deep ambient atmospheres surrounded by complicated IDM rhythms, sometimes melodic, sometimes minimal, but always emotional and touching, uncovering new details every time. Good music for deep thinking, soul-searching, or even crying.

This is just the second release by the up and coming Chelyabinsks Dars Records, but it already promises good things to come. Theyve managed to attract several renowned Russian electronica names, along with undiscovered and lesser known talent. This album offers an overview of the current Eastern European electronic scene that is well alive and clicking.
The CD kicks off with Parable - spacey minimal piece by Andrey Kiritchenko, the Ukrainian artist known for his releases on Ad Noiseam and running his own label Nexsound. This is followed by EUs beautiful mutation named Turn, with light melodic bells coming out of the darkness and bringing peace and harmony. The same dreamy mood carries on into the next track by Clapan, young and promising artist from Krasnodar (hometown of Mendelayev of Art-Tek). Then Fizzarum follow with their masterful manipulation of sounds and rhythms. Things become more aggressive and distorted with ILIs Soft Denebing - postindustrial factory in action.
Its hard to ignore a single piece of this CD all the tracks are very special provoking a range of emotions and feelings. Music of Deneb.2099 is a solid collection filled with quality tracks from old trusted names, as well as offering a good opportunity to explore new artists wholl form the digital landscape of tomorrow.

This compilation was the debut release for Dars Records from the Ural city of Chelyabinsk. The title gives a good clue about the essence of this CD. Bringing together artists from different parts of Russia and former Soviet republics, IDMZOOM is definitely a good start for a label. Most of the presented projects are not widely known in the West, mainly because some of them are very young and others have had much exposure outside of Russia yet. However, some fans will definitely recognise a few names like Supremus Plastice (SP), who released his debut album on Shaped Harmonics; or Stud and Randomajestiq - both of which released a lot of material on various mp3 labels (Kohvi, Kikapu, Acedia, etc).
The compilation opens up with a punchy track by one of the very promising Russian artists Clapan, whos contributed two of his creations for this CD. Its hard not to see the similarity of Clapan to the mighty electronica veteran SolarX, especially in the second track entitled Organ Man. Genius Sponge (very amusing name) delivers a rather neurotic piece with an interesting pulsating rhythm and a very deep bass line. Stud contributed a very nice melodic track, which is sad yet quite positive, perhaps in a BoC kind of way. Similar to his Traffic Plan album, SP continues working in electro/ambient fields, with the presented track being a good example of very pleasant and light music. Belarusian Randomajestic came up with the most aggressive moment on this compilation gigantic beats gradually make their way into your head, becoming stronger and louder. Therefore the next piece from Devyataya Zhizn (translated from Russian as "the 9th Life") is a real life saver with ambient soundscapes floating on a soft relaxing beat.
IDMZOOM serves as an introduction to the label and artists furture direction and creativity. Well done to Dars! - Intelligent Dars Music.
