Influences are definitely country based with Merle Haggard, George Jones, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw & 60's and 70's pop like the Beatles and Elton John. I'm a huge student of the great 30's and 40's songwriters as well, like George Gershwin and Cole Porter. Bottom line is - I just love great songs. A great song can be sung by just about any style of singer.
