    This Finnish group was formed in the city of Turku in year 2006 and still in the year 2011 this instrumental group has the original line-up. As a team they head towards the realms of heavy riffed progressive space rock directions, catching along musical ideas from diverse array of psychedelic vintage influences to their unique and interesting personal sound. The melodic saxophone and rhythm sector counterbalance this cosmic sound with more classical jazz presence. Music consists from both predefined structures and more open sequences for interactive improvisation, distributing much musical information and several emotional elements in a professionally balanced and well-matured form. The band gave their first live concert in the fall of 2006, and is an active performance giver at the local clubs, events and festivals. They have also visited in Baltic countries and Russia. In 2009 the debut album Parapsykosis was released, followed by Cyclokosmia in 2011. Group is known for its energetic live performances. The future knows what was the past like!

Bio:

Dasputnik is from Turku, Finland and it was founded after a certain jam project evolved as the present lineup what it still is today. The music of the band could be described as instrumental spacerock picking other genres along the way leaving room for improvisation. Altough the songs are structured, Dasputnik put much effort on the live performance and make their records more listenable on stereos because as their own words "playing live is based on the situation which you cannot put on record". While their journey the band have played numerous gigs in Finland and few in close neibour countries. They have also released the official debut album 'Parapsykosis' 2009 and Cyclokosmia 2011 with their own label Art Safari records.
