Das Reich was born in 1998 when the guitarists Deleon and Carlos joined Deco and decided to intensify their studies, to form a band. In that time, with the band still untitled, they began playing covers of several bands. In the following years Charles was called for the drums, and Fabricio for the vocals. The band was ready and was called Das Reich. In 2004, the band entered in studio to record its first release, "A Perfect Sign of God". Years later, In 2008, Das Reich releases the "Sounds From The End of the World" EP.
"Das Reich" comes from the name of a German panzer division of the Second World War, and it was chosen only and exclusively for its sonority and force. The band isn't connected to politics or the German national-socialist militarism in any way. The main influence of Das Reich's music is the traditional heavy metal, and its lyrics are based on history, mythologies and social criticism.

Naquela época, com o grupo ainda sem nome, eles começaram a tocar covers de diversas bandas. Nos anos seguintes Charles foi chamado para a bateria e Fabrício para os vocais. A banda estava pronta e foi chamada Das Reich. No ano de 2004 entraram em estúdio para gravar seu primeiro material, "A Perfect Sign of God". Anos após, em 2008, a Das Reich lançou o EP "Sounds From The End of the World".
O nome "Das Reich" é proveniente de uma divisão blindada alemã da II Guerra Mundial, e foi escolhido exclusivamente por sua sonoridade e força. A banda não tem relações políticas ou com o nacional socialismo Alemão de qualquer forma. A principal influência da música do grupo é o heavy metal tradicional, e suas letras são baseadas em história, mitologias e críticas sociais.
