I am an outgoing, dedicated, hard working, crazy (in a good way), romantic guy with a passion for music. I dig life for what it is. I love my family very much. I love movies, music, friends, talking, laughing with friends, being random and stupid. Most of all I love music. Its very much a part of who I am. From Nysiis, Adonaii, Das War, Code to all those who have shared music with me in the past on small projects or whatever it was to get them through. Ive shared so much with so many people with music, if only any of you could see how much it has changed you. Music is a gift given to us by God. Its the most powerfull way of conveying emotion than any other tool. Is most definitely to have people think about the music Ive made and think about what it makes you feel. As you are watching a movie, or in that state of drama in your life, that the music that is going through your ears that it touches you right there. Im thank God everyday that He has given me the gift of music to reach out to whoever needs it in their lives. Thanks go out to those who have been a part of my musical journey. I dont know if any of them know it. But each of these I will mention have been a part of what I am in my music today.
Bass-The guy who got taught me my first songs. Without him I wouldnt be were I am today.
Chris&Andy Youell-They were there when I picked up my first guitar. Still friends today after all the craziness. Even if they are 5 states away.
Trey Watson-Our differences aside, this is the guy who felt first and foremost what music is all about and who would listen. I mean really listen to it. If your out there man. You have so much talent dude I am always praying for you. This guy wrote lyrics after being moved by the music. He had a gift of hearing the emotion of the music conveyed and would write as it moved and spoke to him. Indescribable talent. I could go on forever.
Stephanie Reedy aka "Aunt Steph"-Through the rough times, Music has meant so much to her. She has showed me so much of the gift of music. And did I mention she has an amazing ability to sing. We have shared some great singing moments and just listening experiences.
Grandpa Reedy-Although I never knew him real good. He had a love for music and introduced me to Chet Atkins.
Rodney "aka Dad" Reedy-I love him. He has shown me so much. With his guidance and persistance, he demands perfection. Yet has a brilliant ear for music and is an amazing singer. My dad is the most vital part of my career. I love him so much. My time on earth is complete with knowing that dad is there to support my musical journey no matter the cost and the so called "fame". What is it really? He has shown me its all about Christ and the ability that he has given me. Not about the "recognition".......All the bands and guitarist he has shown me. Pretty much my main influences from Neal Schon of Journey, Al DiMeola, Russ Freeman. All from my Dad passed on. Thanks Dad.
Tdog aka Tommy Jones-One of the other guys who I could talk forever. Best friend, most definitely. We are exact opposites but we both understand music in the same mindset. He has shown me how much music has meant to him. Its amazing how much you can learn from someone. Well for starters. Tdog has rhythm down to a science. Without him I woundnt be where I am rhythmically in my guitar playing. I would never have been introduced to the "metal" side of guitar playing. Did I mention he introduced me to my now favorite band Meshuggah.
Ross Ward: Probably one of the best students I have ever had. On top of that one of my best friends as well. I see so much of myself in his love of music. I watched his growth as a student and a listener of what we call music. The hunger to achieve a higher goal brought a new love for music as I saw it when I started. He is most definitely a brother to me I never had, and whats even cooler he loves music.
Trey Harding: I don't think I need to say more than this. This guy is the best musician Ive ever met, as well as best drummer too. Ive learned so much from him about timing, drumming, and just technique as well. I feel honored to have worked with him in Adonaii as well as becoming a great friend too. He has influenced me greatly in striving for the greatest in your playing. We constantly challenge each other in our playing. Which is kind of weird being that he is a drummer and Im a guitar player.
Josh Saunders: Once again Im priveledged to be playing with one of the best bass players in NC. Josh is one of the most talented and skillfull bass player Ive ever met. He is extremely picky about what he puts into a song. What he puts in their is nothing less than greatness. I love some of his smooth lines over the Adonaii stuff, especially in Either Or, Enlightenment, and Feed Me A Stray Cat. I could go on forever but Josh has pushed me to become an even better musician by his amazing skills. Thanks for being a great friend as well Joshman. You always seem to take me to the best eating places as well.
To My Students: Riley & Bradley Harwood, Andrew Norman, Grant Romine, Wiley Kuhn, Keith Vanderpool, Rick Massey, Doug Whelan, Gillian Page, Austin Smith, Bob Brown, and all my other students who have just enjoyed playing guitar and pushing yourselves to the next level. Thats what its about guys, I want each one of you to know that Im extremely proud of your skills and how you have improved. Im proud to be your teacher. Im thankfull that you guys like me as a teacher.........I love all you guys, and any of those I havent mentioned yet. I will dont worry
