Bio:

It's not everyday that we turn on our radio or music channel and are refreshed by the sound of a talented young singer. Fasten your seatbelts for one of the hottest funky acts to spin from within the UK. Representing styles which range from funky house, r'n'b, old' skool, new rave, to dub step its Da Sweetnezz...


"Da Sweetnezz" (real name; Jennifer Rose) began singing in around 1994; when she was very young joining the St Anthony's Primary School Choir, it was from then on that her passion to be heard grew and grew. Years later she then went on to join the local Church Choir in 1998, and also her Secondary School Choir; St Angela’s. It was here in music classes at St Angela’s that Sweetnezz discovered a thirst to write her own music and lyrics, and from then on she never stopped!


After she left school, for a while Da Sweetnezz's singing was put on hold so that she could concentrate on her college studies.


However in Summer 2005 she took part in a Youth Project to get young people off the streets, which took place in East London, Canning Town and was organised by a Youth Club called 'Community Links' which is well known over London and in connection with the 'Jack Petchey Foundation'.


Sweetnezz and two of her closest friends signed up for a music course at this Youth Project; whereby they formed a band called "Lyrics 2 Kill", Da Sweetnezz was the oldest member at the time, only 16 years old and also the lyricist of the group so she acted as the heart and soul of the trio. There was not and still isn't a day that goes by without a pen being put to her lyric pad. Through this music course at Community Links they used the facilities available to them, instruments and recording studio, with the help of some professional music producers and a singing coach to record one track. The track was entitled "You", which Lyrics 2 Kill then went about promoting.


Firstly by taking part in a talent show and disco held for the youth members at the Community Links Youth Centre, and also at a music, fashion, arts 'n' crafts and talent showcase "The Newham Roadshow"; held at different local Parks/Recreational grounds situated around Newham.


For her participation in this Youth Project and her achievements as musician with "L2K" Da Sweetnezz was awarded the Jack Petchey Achievement Award for "Outstanding Achievers" in 2006. Her group "Lyrics 2 Kill" were a truly unique girl singing group and a fantastic example of how young talent should be utilized.


Currently Da Sweetnezz is trying to pursue a solo career, and is unsigned but the talent doesn't stop there. She is also part of a major organisation known as "Exodus 1st Movement"... Over the years she and these talented young musicians have collaborated on many tracks and music projects. Some of which are featured on Da Sweetnezz's demo entitled; "Sweet Little Preview."


We can confirm that future album's featuring Da Sweetnezz will be a masterpiece of new skool jumpy beats, with Lyrics one hundred percent written by Da Sweetnezz herself.
