DST or Datastormer - it's the same person. DST is just a abbreviation of Datastormer. He is dj and producer who lives in Hungary. He started his musical career with breakbeat as a member of the Celophane Collective in Szolnok as 21. Started producing tunes with a simple PC and his unique marks were in his first tunes was already recognizable. His outrageous electrobreak tracks hides twisted experimentality that show truly his love for strange sounds, basslines, unusal music structure and breaknecking beats. A bit later he started dj-ing and in this role he creates unique mixture of garagebreak, electrobreak, some tech-break and dubstep/breakstep/grime that are played in his home by not much djs. Since January 2004 he plays in the weekly radio session "Dawn Tempo" on Radio Tilos where he plays at the moment - after the some techy, breaky beginnings - in part bristol's tomorrow-sound called as dubstep/breakstep/grime, and in part glitchy breaks, electro and other unusual, fine tunes. He made his first tunes available on his own netlabel called Horizontal Assimetric Music Productions (HAMP). His first official release was on the netlabel ChiWare (Amb - Flounder DST's Assimetric rmx ) at the end of 2005. His first 4 tracker EP on Digital Distortions released in February 2006. (Fragments From The Past EP) After this he released also on Digital Distortions an EP that contains 6 dubstep tracks. (Suburban beats AM 11 EP)
His first vinyl release came out on the dubstep label Crater Records on a 4 tracker EP (Suburbanite EP).
In 2006 made a remix for the Bitlab Records - "Noise 64 - Instead of playing Madonna bootlegs ".
Since February 2006 he runs the "Shooby-Dubby Dubstep Session" on Radio Torespont with his dj-friends Gumilap & Kebab.
In summer 2006 he set up the hungarian dubstep clubnight of Budapest (Shooby-Dubby Dubstep Night and Dub Phase) with his friends and he now also works on making the style more popular in Hungary.
Paralell with dubstep activities he also works on glitchy tunes and regularly presents the freshest tracks in the Dawn Tempo radio session.

Cup Of Chi vol.11.
Cup of Chi, the series that each time brings together 3 songs of various genres, has reached it's 11th release. DST may not ring a bell to all ears, although he's been in the electro and dubstep scene as a producer and DJ for many years now. Sirk and Asthring this time teamed up and not only together but with singer Noenoe too, and Cooler shows us how to hypnotize a plate of corn flakes.
tracklisting:
01> Cooler: Hypnotised Cornflakes
02> DST: We Are Robots
03> Asthring + Franklin Deluxe: Mom (featuring Noenoe)

SG005 - DST - Csillag Remixes
01. Mad-Tek remix
02. Nymate Association's Death Star remix
03. Sol_Dat remix
04. the wee djs remix
Subgrade Records wrote about the "Csillag remixes EP"
Well, here we have a new issue, even if not the best fit for a 5
o'clock tea, but for a five o'clock nuclear blasta' Csillag from the
DST was showed up originally on Lifeforms EP, it has
been presented in four reinterpretations now.
The Mad-Tek carved a pleasant breakbeat cover of it with sounds
scrambling into your head, tense rhytm and gentle burring bass. Perfect
set-starter track for kids and matured men.
Nymate Association has made a new masterpiece. Ethereal melody follows
a slowed-down intro, and this kind of idyllic tone - going occasionally
crazy - is being smashed by the jungle loop breaking in with
elementary power. As if Darth Vader played the Nintendo.
Sol_Dat composed an old-school remix full of little foolish sounds and
transfers you to an astral projection by its acid-screws.
If you feel everything is trembling around, be sure you are listening
to the wee djs remix. The basic export commodity of Edinburgh is
fucking serious, it kicks your ass firmly.
Mind- and soul-screwing tunes, ultrabrutal lows. A frantic
electromonster.
Killer little beat with some excellent grinding bass synth noise hidden in the background. Calmer and deeper than the original. Simple phat bass oscillates away combined with restrained and structured edits and cuts makes this a top remix on a subtler and deeper electro tip. I'm thinking Andrea Parker of Touchin' Bass with this one.
Press Stress (Synapse Rmx)
Miami bass in effect with this reworking of Press Stress. Deep synth action at the first drop before a jacking familiar electro beat joins in. Sweet track with a fresh original electro feel to it. Complete with excellent rifting key work in the main section. TOP TUNE.
Stratic (DST Remix)
Fast cutting edits and big bass for a tune that demands your attention. Has a Bassbin Twins feel to some of the edits. Strong work that I cannot wait to see in full effect on the darkfloor Wink Defo gonna be checking out some more DST.
System Online (C. Mantle Rmx) (master: The Wee DJ's)
Hard dark and heavy. C. Mantle makes angry music and I have to say, I'm a fan. hard, dark breaky techno action after the initial drop. Distortion is rife through this track. A trademark of C. Mantle. This is a dark brooding bitch of a tune.

With this debut release from his new project, Dave Dando-Moore (Detritus) offers us an intensely composed symphony of unending sorrow. This is as raw, open and confessional as music can get. Drawing comparisons with Max Richter, Deaf Centre, Johann Johannsson and The Protagonist, A Wake A Week will evoke cathartic exorcisms of woe in even the most glacial of hearts.
