from the south panhandle of texas, started musically in a very traditional way, singing "specials" in the baptist church. after a 2 year stint in the navy,
he played for family and friends as he roughnecked around texas and louisiana for 10 years.
when the oil patch went dry, he wound up in austin. began singing and
playing all over central texas. things progressed, in '96 an indie label cd was
released. chosen by KGSR's Jody Denberg to open '96 Bocktoberfest, headlined
by Robert Earl Keen, Fabulous Thunderbirds, & Ian Moore. the cd also garnerd
selection as the official "Blue Santa" band, playing the Chuy's Christmas paradefor the last 9 years.
the years since have been the typical ups & downs of a working musician.
playing on bills with such as Joe Ely, Omar and the Howlers, Freddy Fender; to
not so well known local favorites at venues high and low. ran into the "medicine man"
which has brought out a new intensity in playing and singing.
