I love all of it, but if I had to pick a favorite, The Beatles, hands down. Eric Clapton. Neil Young. The Stones. Queen. Cold Blood. Audioslave. Green Day. Deathcab for Cuties. Supertramp. Jethro Tull. Train. Annie Lennox, Lydia Pence, Evanescence, Blue October, Kitaro, Mozart, on and on...I did like and love his song Crazy, Gnarls Barkley, but he gave to Obama and so I changed my mind. He is crazy, but not just like me.
This category should be Internet, I watch more of that than TV. For the most part, TV has become the bane of our existence.

Books
Leela (The Game of Life), Harish Johari. Confessions, by St. Augustine another is The Far Pavillions, M.M. Kaye. But by far, Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse tops my list. Thomas Paine, Jane Auel, Lynn McTaggart, and Ken Wilber's books are all great, too. Just finished Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein. Great insight!
Heroes

St. Augustine and Gandhi, now Ron Paul. I admired Queen Elizabeth, but not as a 'hero'. The biggest heroes to me are our Founding Fathers; and Patriots that shed their blood for the Tree of Liberty, and called it an honor, and when you Thank them, they are humble, they don't do it for 'Thanks'.
