Music
Music can change my mood within the first few notes. If I’m writing I usually put on Maxwell or Robi Draco. I’ll dance for hours to latin and middle eastern beats and even hip hop if it’s got a good beat. Yoga’s always better with the right music but then again, what isn’t? I have music playing most of the day and you might hear anything from Marvin Gaye and Santana to Gym Class Heroes and Under the Influence of Giants. I also like music with a social message like the Flobots, Bassnectar, Jack Johnson and Ben Harper among others. The list goes on and on but really it just all depends on how I feel or how I want to feel. I’m always on the lookout for new music that moves me in some way, even if only for a moment.
Movies
My movies ... ummm .... well... Basically I LOVE vampire movies, scary road trip movies with more than a little dark humor mixed in, I’m a sucker for a haunted house movie, I love action movies where women rock it. I can’t stand movies where the woman is the dumb ass damsel in distress, P-U-H--L-EEESE! I was weaned on Kung-fu and Charles Bronson flicks along with every Chuck Norris movie ever made. I knew who Bruce Lee was before I knew who Donald Duck was. I really can’t stand sappy chick flicks. Really. I can’t. Well any way, here’s al list of a few of my faves:

My Father. I am blessed to say that I was raised and loved by the most wonderful man in the world. He is the bravest, most compassionate, wise and amazing man I will ever meet. Anyone who really knows him, will say that the best way to describe how I grew up, was like being raised by a Warrior Monk. Yep, that's the most accurate description I can think of. My dad was a Marine and served 2 1/2 tours in Vietnam and was wounded twice. I love my dad and I love and support all our men and women in the service, regardless of my feelings towards the federal government.
