Sounds Like
Many relate Dave to Bob Dylan ; professionals hear an original sound , besides the vocal similarity . Dave also plays lead guitar , programs drum
tracks , bass , plays keyboards , does all the arrangements , produces what
he creates musically , and Bob Dylan does not have that array of musical
creation , with all respect to the genius of the man . Dave started writing his
own music at a later stage in life . This is for the attention of professional
record companies and the listeners .
This page deals essentially with the sound tracks of the songs of Dave Adrian
and his wife Patsy . Dave has written , produced , played , sung on all tracks .
Two songs are from Patsy ; the listing comes of these songs on the page come further down , after a scrubb on the CD " Roundabout " , with the band
" Ragged Redemption " . .
Dave has appx. 100 songs in the pre mix phase .
Another link under shows the sketching of many of these .
The CD " Ragged Redemption " was recorded in 2000 at DK Studio in Belgium . It is with several musicians , ( drums , bass , saxophone , female
backing vocals , and with the help of high tech modules . ) .
To hear the 4 track , ( not the ones here on the page , those come under ) , click on the " Ragged Redemption " cover top of page . This opens the CDBaby page of Dave , then just just click on " Play all tracks " top left .
Playlist as follows :
Track 1 : " Sweetheart Unlimited " . A classic folk rock slow tempo ballad ,
the opening track due to it's popularity .
Track 2 : " First Encounter " . Up tempo folk rock with guitar solos by Dave ,
Southern Rock feel .
Track 3 : " Traction in Love " . Reaggae Rock song , a potential hit according
to many .
Track 4 : " Funeral Pyre " . A heavy blues with long guitar solo , a favorite with the heavy rock and blues followers .
The following tracks on the page here have a main difference : these are entirely done with sequencers , multi track digital recording and mixing , from the home studio of Dave to DK Studio for pre mixes , up to MP3 masterning by a studio owner met on " Myspace " . From high tech modules to the Internet , the whole circle of what can be done . These were created between 2002 and 2006 . Here is the playlist as they play on this page :
TO HEAR THE NEW SONGS UNDER , CLICK OF THE POSTER OF DAVE UNDER :
Track 1 : " Stardust Rosa " : an " up tempo " rock , a favorite of Dave ; this song always gets great reactions " live " .
Track 2 : " Thin Air " a " Pink Floyd " influenced track ; the sax line is to be re done with the original saxophone player of " Ragged Redemption " to improve the song .
Track 3 : " Each and Every Time " . Vocals by Patsy , the wife of Dave ; and
basic folk rythm with many arrangements , reminiscing of the " Cranberries "
according to many . This track receives much attention ; it is aimed at a potential film track due to it's controversial lyrics .
Track 4 : " Atom Bomb " . Vocals by Patsy ; a Millenium progressive ballad , with sound effects that give a special feel to the tune .

December 14th is a Special day that we all can know that Above us DAVE ADRIAN's spirit will be looking down on the earth smiling at PATSY & Children and at all his friends. Dave's spirit will alway remain in our lives. Dave to me was and remains a symbolic memorial to the fact that one can achieve, and overcome some of the most harsh realities on Earth. And through it all, Likewise Dave Adrian Stands high as a Honored man that changed my life forever. Having known Dave Adrian from 1999 to 2006 As he worked on his music. Which I always listen to it and Patsy's music too. Dave and I were in contact daily for years. and i miss him deeply. I'd like to Wish Patsy and the children a Special Merry Christmas and happy New Year. always on my mind and always in my heart. Carry on the LOVE.
It was a wet, cold, sad autumn day. When we arrived at the cemetery,
the sun peeped through the clouds and kept shinning during the small
ceremony that was held in memory of Patrick Roberts/Dave Adrian.
Family and friends gathered in a circle around the coffin of Dave.
Words were said, prayers were spoken.
Then I passed around the lyrics of White Wings by Bahama Kin and
started the music. Everybody was listening and was thinking of their
memories of Dave. After the song fades, it remained silent.
Then Johnny Vanbelle, a young man that got guitar lessons from
Patrick/Dave, and had become a real good friend, played a song he
composed for Patrick. You could feel the pain right trough his warm
voice. He sang truly from the heart. Sometimes his fingers were
trembling, not from the cold, but from the deep emotions. I'm sure
Patrick heard him from after the clouds, or wherever he is now, and he
very much appreciated it. It's a wonderful song.
Then it was time for the last salute and Patrick's coffin was rolled
out of the circle of family and friends to his last resting-place.
Rest in peace dear friend. You were a wonderful teacher not only in
music but in live.
You may have died, but you are not dead, you just went to another
place. One day, we will meet again on the other side.
The time is here, for you's out there,
To listen in, I'm trying to reach you.
I'm telling you, Speaking from my Soul,
No Sympathy, Just trying to tell you.
The signs are real, The time has come,
This broken earth, has paths to ruin.
But we have Love, and we have faith,
And we have us, let's stick together.
And though we never know, when it's time to go.
The clocks are ticking fast, so lets start thinking.
We nag and crank, we bitch and moan,
We gotta change, Before it's over.
For all my life, I gave it free,
I gave it all, Rebuilding ruin.
No Sympathies, No doubt at all,
The blind can't see, the deaf ain't listening.
But we can help, and you can change,
From depressed souls, to glowing angels.
And though we never know, when it's time to go.
The clocks are ticking fast, so lets start thinking.
So as I cried, My friend has died,
Dave Adrian I know your listening.
Ohh how you were, a touch and go.
your wisdom helped, Me to keep going.
And though we never know, when it's time to go.
The clocks are ticking fast, so lets start thinking.
Dave Adrian has passed away.

forever times twice
Harsh realities, My spirit cries and mourns,
It comes to this that a sad sad day arrives.
The wicked winds of night, took my best friend away
My partner in the race against time to be heard & known.
He who listened to me and believed in me, took my advice
And visa-versa I believed in him and the joy
Grew as big as the universe itself.
untouchable happiness in song and words
forever times twice
Like a reaper in the night, the book slowly closed
Yet remains open for eternity alive in songs and memories
To have known you were respected and loved
To have shared dreams, to know someone really cared
The Power of God only knows, that it happened way to soon
By the light of Jesus Christ, Lighted the way to peace
My words only reflect the feelings, as the lonely day arrived
Ohh but least he knew of me, and least i knew of him
We laughed and cried, and braved the wicked winds
Against the odds we tried, and somehow the compassion echoed
fragile and brave, ohh how the music expands through time
The memories of Dave Adrian, Running rivers through my mind
It's raining in my head, thunder roars in my ears
nothing was ever so close as the souls who dared to try
Solid as a stone with the sleet about to pour
My weeping eats my thoughts, Yet i know he wanted peace
Peace from war and pain, just trying to survive,
On a mean mean wicked world,
On the streets for his children and wife
A few who healed the wounds of time
forever times twice
Let the music and the experience, be the start of whats to be
The tides have washed the sands, as the holy water pours
Why sometimes we only know, if we try to understand it all
To a chosen few the answer comes so easy, to you all
A new day breaks, the memories come to life
In the sound of your voice, the music lives forever
nothing ever done in vain, It's sad to lose a friend
A father, a mother, a son, a daughter, a wife
forever times twice
somehow I feel your presence in the tilting of my head
a vision of pure white wings flying slowly towards the sky
Released like a dove from a wicked place called life
But beauty is alive if you understand that time is ever moving on
For Patsy & the Children of Dave Adrian who has died
i'll always be here for you. forever times twice.
