Who I'd like to meet:
Other writers, particularly poets, who are trying to get their work published. I believe we can help each other. Also people who like to read the work of new/emerging writers. I am interested in receiving constructive critique of my writing, but constructive critique rarely begins with "this sucks..." .. ..

Hey, is there a particular poem that changed your life or particularly blew you away? "Howl" was the first to really blow my mind. I was young when I read that... after that "They Feed They Lion" by Phillip Levine.

wanted to shout out for hellbound by David McLean, the second entry in the workers in blood chapbook series - available now from Epic Rites Press. hellbound is quite possibly the coolest and tightest chapbook to ever emerge from the underground poetry scene. these poems are the literary equivalent of skin being stripped from the bone. check out samples at http://epicrites.typepad.com/epicritespress/hellbound-by-david-mclean.html. please support David McLean and Epic Rites Press by ordering your copy today at http://www.abyssgazesalso.com. best regards from everyone here at Epic Rites.

ha. i'm hanging in there. how're you?

the tourist seasons something else.
especially in p.h. around july 2nd, 3rd
it transforms from standing at the main
intersection and not seeing 1 person on
any street to standing on a backroad;
still running into people you've never
seen before. it's coming up quick.
i'll have to look into yearly harvest #'s.
