I was 10 years old when I first heard Hank Williams sing. When I listened to his heart felt delivery I knew then I wanted to sing and play the guitar. My first guitar was a freebie our neighbor gave to me. It was a warped guitar with strings about an inch from the fret board. But it was a guitar. Since then I have had a long list of guitars, my favorite being my 1976 Martin D-35.
After learning to sing and play guitar I started to write songs. These two seem to go hand in hand. Over the years I either joined or formed several bands. I have been involved as an opening act for John Connelly, Waylon Jennings, Tom T. Hall, David Frizzel, Jimmie Fortune, The Drifting Cowboys, Gene Davis, Hank Thompson, Johnny Paycheck, and others. Music has allowed me to meet dozens of stars over the years. My photo album holds tons of memories.
I have been backstage at the Grand Ole Opry on two occasions thereby meeting approximately 30 stars each time. What a blast! I saw Elvis at the Kiel in 1970. Denny Hunt and I had front row seats which at the time was about 10ft. from the King. He [Elvis] put on a great show and it was a very memorable time.
I have recorded 3 albums over the years. My latest “American Made” was released in November 2006. It contains original songs and features “Home of the Brave”, a song currently touring with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. My last two albums have been recorded in my home studio" White Buffalo Studios". My son-in-law Ryan Drury is my engineer and graphic designer.
Our studio is currently doing a restoration project for Norville Dollar. Norville recorded for Nugget Records and had the Norville Dollar T.V. Show. We are taking his 45’s and recording them onto a digital format. Norville and I are going to do some co-writing. At this time I’m also co-writing with Gar DeRousse. Song writing is a passion I will continue doing as long as the Lord lets me. I currently have my CD’s for sale at 7 locations.
If you see me somewhere please come up and say “HI”. I always like meeting new musicians and songwriters. You can go to www.MySpace.com/DaveBoyerCountry to hear a couple of songs and leave comments or call me at 636.937.5758

The friend who told me about it sent me a link to this wiki entry that tells a little about it. :) Gotta admit I got very interested when I saw what they note as the subtitle, Whatever the risk, he won't let you down
It's been in the neighborhood of forever since I went around dropping by to say hi and leave a comment, but I found a fun website for hearing the music of up and coming artists for free, and wanted to take a quick moment to encourage folks to check it out. :)
I've started a profile there at ReverbNation (I'm a fan named Crazy About Life, go figure)... nothin' much to it yet, but if you decide to join go ahead and add me as a friend, I tend to know very little about music and always appreciate recommendations from others who listen to a lot more than I do!
