Any peice of music which has ever inspired me to write or play can be heard bleeding into my music, although I'm no longer trying to emulate the sounds of others, rather, creating sounds of my own.
Welcome to my little bit of space, hope you enjoy my music...
I have fingers in quite a few musical pies at the moment...
I work the pubs and bars of the north-west as a solo artist (I'm now under the new stage name "Dave Ryder" due to my unfortunate surname) ... My plan with this was to introduce some of my own material into the sets as I went along, but I ended up having so much fun banging out the covers that my own songs fell by the wayside for a while...
I am going to be starting another myspace soon for the alter-ego Dave Ryder for the covers gigs so that I can keep this as the space for my original music, and if I ever get round to doing any gigging with my own music that will also be listed here.
As well as spending alot of time on my own music projects, I am a big fan of unsigned bands out there who are fighting for breath in among the clamour, and am proud to be the presenter of a unique unsigned podcast called The Unsigned Chart Show which goes out every month to showcase some of the greatest talent out there. The podcast is in conjunction with an excellent website calledUnsignedchart.com which has been in the business of promoting unsigned bands for over 10 years, not only with the podcast but also through gigs, online promotion, HD video's, interviews, album reviews and much more, if you love supporting the best new bands out there, link over right now...
Music even finds it's way into my private life. Some of the best days chilling with my gorgeous girlfriend Louise involve jamming away with her on the piano or keyboard and me with my acoustic in my hand...
