14. 2008 - The Review - 3 Hour Mix of the Biggest Tunes for Dave in 2008 (Funky, Tech & Electro House, Techno and Minimal)
http://www.mediafire.com/?myemoq4xh1m
Dave started his music career in 1997 in Essex, with a set of Numark Decks and Denon Dual CD Players. Back then he had a varied taste in Dance music buying a selection of Hardcore, Jungle, House, Trance, UK/US Garage and Speed Garage. Dave quickly became very popular around his area as being one of the few who could DJ, and owned a sound system! From here Dave taught himself how to mix various styles together with some of his early Mash Up Tapes are still be requested by people all over!
From here Dave decided to venture down the House Music route but still keeping to the uplifting, banging and funky sound he had become known for while still keeping the passion for other genres. During the summer of 2000 Dave ventured to Majorca for the summer season with numerous appearances at The Banana Club alongside Alex Neri and Paul Taylor. Dave also appeared on the same line ups as Carl Cox and Danny Rampling at BCM. During the season Dave held many residencies at bars across the island playing a range of funky and soulful House, Garage and Old Skool.
In 2001 to now, Dave lives in the clubbing capital of the UK, Leeds. On arrival to Leeds Dave met Tom Fearn another promising DJ. They had very similar tastes in music so instead of competing against each other they joined forces to become The Funky Fellas. They spent 4 years together before Tom moved down south due to other commitments. But still to this day special one off appearance are requested, where they play classic funky, pumping, disco House mixed with Old Skool, Breaks and Speed Garage. During their time together they secured residencies for Base, Incision, Housewives Choice, One Love, Iris and Made, with various repeat bookings from Blend, Purrfect and Progress, with a small majority being Hard House nights, their sound was ideal for the second room and their popularity increased rapidly!
Dave continued to promote himself as a solo DJ and received a similar response and still being known to promoters these days as Funky Dave. Dave got involved with 4Clubbers.net who recently said “…..one of the best up and coming DJs, who keeps getting better and better, Dave Crane”. Dave has plans for other projects with 4Clubbers in the pipeline. Due to the amazing feedback he received after playing the last set of 2006 at Parlez Vous he has secured repeat bookings for both Parlez Vous and Gatecrasher.
Dave returned to Essex in 2004 for a special gig in which he played to 2500 clubbers at an Essex Carnival alongside Vibe FM (now known as Kiss FM) where Dave was the main headline! In the same year Dave made his first visit to Ibiza as a Dj rather than a clubber. He was over there with Spinback UK Dj Agency and Club The World. While over on the Island, Dave played for numerous smaller nights alongside Djs such as Andy Whitby and Djs from Plastik Records. Dave has returned to Ibiza every year since and has played gigs for Euphoria and Lashed both @ Eden alongside Djs such as BK, Lisa Lashes, Dave Pearce and ex Prodigy star Leeroy Thornhill and also for various After Parties and Pre Parties for Judgement Sundays and Lifes Chemistry. During a visit in 2006 Daves current demo “The Sick & The Beautiful” was doing the rounds and was picked up by a London Promoter of club and boat parties in Essex, London and Ibiza.
Lifes Chemistry have been promoting nights since 1998 and host big Funky, Electro, Classic House nights and boat parties. Dave was made a resident for them in 2007 after 2 very successful gigs on the boat parties and from awesome feedback from the regulars. In the summer of 2007 Dave was asked to host 3 Lifes Chemistry Parties in Ibiza and had 3 gigs with them in 3 days at Savanah, Coastline and a special Villa Party. Dave continues to play for them on a regular basis and mixed their 2007 Mix Album, We Believe. From the popularity of his sets at Lifes Chemistry Dave was then picked up by Dom Richardson, promoter for Trance/Electro Night Echo, running for over 10 years now and hosts to bi-monthly club nights and boat parties around London. After huge success from his first appearance and the clubbers asking Dom when Dave was making a return visit, Dave has become a firm favorite with the regulars and current residents alike with repeat bookings always coming his way. Dave has sent waves of success through London and is in talks with various other promoters and clubs in the capital having heard about his legendary peak time sets!
Dave has also entered various Dj Competitions, home and abroad. Dave became Dj of the Month for Plastik Records Ibiza, impressing judges from Plastik Records and Brandon Block. During his season in Majorca, Dave won 2 competitions which secured him residencies at the famous various random workers parties that went on. Dave also came runner up in Creams search for a Resident where the winners were the talented Cassette Jam. Some of Dave mixes have appeared on stations such as Ram FM, Vibe FM, BPM Radio and Student Radio. Dave is involved with Ground Zero Projects where he does monthly podcasts alongside Djs such as Tall Paul, Kissy Sell Out and Mark EG.
Dave has appeared at hundreds of club nights across Europe on various impressive line ups. Appearing alongside names such as 2 Many Djs, Marco V, Sander Van Doorn, Paul Woolford, Zombie Nation, Riton, Lisa Lashes, The Tidy Boys, Anne Savage, BK, Dave Pearce, Phil Asher, Seamus Haji, Utah Saints, Audio Jack, Andy Whitby, Rob Tissera, Sean Tyas, Andy Farley, Adam Sheridan, Tim Sheridan, Kid Blue, Guy Ornadel, Agnelli and Nelson, Karim, Yomanda, Marcel Woods, Judge Jules, Riley and Durrant, Filthy Rich, Marc Leaf, Matt Cooper, Simon Baker, Dave Martin, Tidy DJs, Ben Stevens, Slipmatt and Jazzy M to name a few!
Dave’s Djing career is really starting to kick off and now having started work on some of his own production Dave is getting noticed. Some of his own tunes, bootlegs and re-edtis can always been found on his monthly demos. Why not join his Facebook Group HERE to receive an email each month with links to Daves new mix to be downloaded with details on gig dates and his new productions. With gigs being confirmed all the time and more gigs planned for Thailand, Australia, Ibiza, London, Leeds, Brighton, London, Essex, Chester, Manchester, Birmingham and Cambridge things are getting busy, so get involved quickly to avoid disappointment!

Productos BMM presents:
BMM 34 Mario Plaza Vocal Sense EP with the remixes of Luis Noic Genre: Techno.
Some comments: Carsten Rausch: I really like Mario Plaza - Vocal Sense. All Mixes are nice, but the Original Mix is my fav. Full support for that one! Dave James: Vocal sense is cool, hypnotic mix is my fave. Galuszka: The original starts chunky and gets funky, a nice groove. The remixes by Luis Noic take it minimal. The Hipnotic remix revisits some classic techno sounds, love it. The Reddman: The Vocal Sense Track was very smooth. It was one of those tracks that make you want to just stand in front of the speaker, close your eyes and let the music take you on a trip to somewhere deep within your own mind. M.O.D.E.: Luis Noic on vocal sense is great. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favourite mix is Luis Noic Hypnotic remix. Deep sounds with brilliant production. This spare tune has enough hooks to take you on a journey. Gets my support. Clic here to Listen & Buy in Beatport.
