I play drums, that's my main gig, but I also play guitar and keyboards, I write songs and engineer/mix digital audio. The songs on this page were written by me, and I'm playing keyboards on Listen To Your Heart (as well as playing drums on all the tracks, of course)..... I've been playing drums almost all my life. I started taking drum lessons when I was 9 years old, studied all the way through highschool, and started playing professionally at age 16..... At 20, I moved from my home town of Colorado Springs to Los Angeles to make a career out of music. I attended Musicians Institute and graduated with honors from the Percussion Institute of Technology..... I have had the privilege of studying with some great drum instructors: ..Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Casey Scheurell, Bobby Gabriele, Jack Patton, and most recently with Glen Sobel..... I also had the good fortune to see Randy Castillo play with The Wumblies and The Offenders in night clubs in Colorado Springs back in the 80's. The chance to watch Randy play in relatively small night clubs, up close and personal, night after night, (and ask him questions!) was as educational for me as anything I have experienced in private lessons or in college. ..Randy was also a friend, and he is greatly missed (RIP). .... I've played with many bands, from rock & pop to heavy metal & alternative, done recording, touring, showcasing, and it's all fun! .... ..I am also a survivor.... I have survived a car crash that nearly killed me... I have survived a divorce...
