Just a little about myself- for starters, I am currently a guitar and bass instructor at The Landau Guitar Co. and Howren Music. I've been playing guitar for twenty three years and bass guitar for about four years. Eighteen of those years have been spent performing with bands ranging from R&B, rock and blues, to jazz-funk fusion. The most notable band that I've played with in recent years has been Bellyfull. I am currently playing with three groups, Automatic Chi, Bellyfull, and Hot Hand Spirits. One of the things that made me want to start playing was my father, who was not a musician, but listened to jazz and blues records around the house. There were also two specific experiences that made me want to play... an older friend in the neighborhood left a copy of Jimi Hendrix's, "Are you Experienced?"at the house and after listening to it, I knew that I had to play the guitar. The second one being when my Dad took me to see Buddy Guy perform at a local club called the Double Door Inn. I was completely blown away.
Over the years I have been fortunate enough to share the stage with some of my own personal favorite acts such as Garaj Mahal, The Yonrico Scott Band, Schleigho, Col. Bruce Hampton, Project Z, Oteil & The Peacemakers, The Jazz Mandolin Project, and The Benevento Russo Duo...

(review for "The Return Of The Son Of Minky")
"Eatman serves up some percolating, old-school bar funk that's ripe for some DJ to sample to death. It's dry and full of space, and none of the musicians seem eager to step on the groove. Eatman himself takes some restrained, wah filtered solos that are marvels of driving economy." - Michael Molenda
Thanks for your friendship, DEONLIGUAN is my band, I’m playing again because of them. I really love them, have a look at the band www.myspace.com/deonliguanrock, good luck and Rock and Roll from Pamplona (Spain)

All is well in Lansing, Michigan! Last week I finally decided to get organized and rip my CD collection (which I hadn't touched in quite a while) to my computer. I found The Rhythm of Creation, and I've been listening to it regularly for the last week, so I thought I should track Bellyfull down on myspace. Glad to see you're still playing, and hope all is well back in the great state of NC!
Greetings from Las Vegas, Dave! Thanks for the add, and congrats on your mention in the Mar 2009 issue of Guitar Player magazine. I really like your tunes, very tasty stuff.
