Dave Formula is perhaps best know for his work with Magazine. Long regarded as one of the most significant British bands, the band's work has recently been re-mastered by Sean Magee of Abbey Road studios and re-issued by Virgin EMI.
Along with Magazine cohorts John McGeoch and Barry Adamson, Dave joined Steve Strange, Midge Ure, Billy Currie and Rusty Egan in Visage for two very successful albums before leaving to concentrate on Strongroom Studios which he founded in the mid 80's.
After a stint playing with The Angel Brothers Dave has now made his first solo album. Recorded in his own Red Bird Studios, "Satellite Sweetheart" features contributions by Magazine co-members Howard Devoto, Barry Adamson and John Doyle. Other Guest Musicians include Robert Wyatt, David McAlmont, Corrine Drewery, Dennis Rolllins and Lara Rose.
Dave rejoined his Magazine Bandmates for five sold out shows in February 2009 to great critical acclaim. In Summer 2009 Magazine will be playing several European festivals and The Royal Festival Hall. More details at www.myspace.com/magazineofficial

Just wanted to say thanks for the music. Circumstances mean the internet, music and vision mean a lot to me and Electronica is my thing. I don't really have heroes but I do love my music and my iPod is full of your tunes at the mo. The reformation of Magazine has been a highlight for me this year too.
Blimey, but you guys were on fire on Jools last night with Shot By Both Sides sounding incredibly tight, fresh and urgent. Inspiring stuff. Roll on Friday for a couple more !
This was about the best photo I got of you at Picnic-Noko and/or his mic stand were perpetually in the way! Nice to meet you-hope not too long before you back in Ireland
Thanks for the add. You are an amazing artist and I really truly hope that Magazine will make another trip over here to the US. I say you guys play Los Angeles waaay back when! Please come back over and blow our minds, we would love to have you and the boys play! Noko fits really well, he's a brilliant guitar player and my new DVD is amazing! Keep up the good work, and God Bless Magazine...you guys rule!
