"I like too many things and get all confused and hung-up running from one falling star to another until I drop. This is the night, what it does to you. I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion." -Kerouac, from "On The Road"

About me: The easiest way to describe myself is that I'm the type of person who is likely to get stuck somewhere with a ventriloquist and her talkative dummy during a hail-storm. I am a walking, talking, Bermuda-Triangle of weirdness. If something strange and bizarre is happening I'm probably involved. It's not like I seek these things out, I'm just a magnet for the unusual in an entertaining sort of way.
I've got a wanderlust streak in me a mile-wide and tend to go stir-crazy when I'm in one place for too long. Working in technology for an airline helps to keep me on the move but my long term goal is to quit working on things with plugs and become a full-time writer. For now though I'm content to continue trying to visit all 50 states and seven continents (anyone know somebody with a couch to lend me in Antarctica?).
My life has changed significantly in the past year. I've gotten divorced and I'm learning what it's like to live alone for the first time in my life with the help of my friends (cue Lennon & McCartney). I'm used- I'm not dead, and I've gotten pretty damn good at rolling with the punches. Things are definitely getting better every day though and I'm working on building the kind of life I've always wanted.
Who I'd like to meet: I'm trying to get out, meet new people and do new things so every type of person under the sun is interesting to me. I'm pretty mellow and like hanging out with all types. Everyone has a unique story even if they don't know it yet.
"Dave Flew to Boston with a banjo-playing Alcatraz tour guide who sadly (if you've ever seen "So I Married An Axe Murderer") was not named Vicki".......That's good, I've never had a decent experience with a Vicki ;)
Thanks for the add! Funny, but I agree.. people that eat at Red Lobster three minutes away from the beach irritate to no end. Red lobster is just a sore point in general.. Enjoying your blogs. Good stuff...
