After the hailed launch of EP “Girl on the moon” Dave Gander is set to release his much anticipated new album early June 2009.
Touching upon a range of styles and not restricted to one genre - surf cultured, blue roots and easy listening - the new album proves to be his most creative and eclectic collection to date.
Dave enlisted the musical talent from some of his closest musician friends which has taken the album down a new path of creativity and diversity with one track to the next telling a musical story of its own. The album is reflection of the musical journey of which Dave has travelled.
Originally from Sydney, Australia singer/songwriter Dave Gander has been playing guitar since the age of 13 where he grew up surfing as a fully sponsored surfer, hanging out on the beaches and listening to surf cultured music all of which he was influenced by.
When he left Australia to embark on his journey of worldwide travels he took his guitar with him. To name a few America and Canada, are just two of the places where he lived and performed many gigs across the country.
Supporting amongst many Mick Hart, Rob Sawyer, Carus his musical travels have led him to perform gigs from his hometown across the world and in Europe.
A promotional tour of gigs/festivals coming up around the UK/Europe is being finalised showcasing the new album taking in regional radio and a press campaign.
