I'm not a big fan of artists who give their biographies in the third person, when you know fine well it's the artist writing. It's all a bit too Mohammed Ali for me, so I'll keep this simple. My name is Dave Hughes, I write and play songs. I used to always play solo, but now I have the awesome Renegade Folk Punk Band backing me up at some of my shows.
Over the last three years I've had the fortune to play over 100 gigs, in most of the major cities of the UK. I've supported many other acts that I love listening to such as Frank Turner, Mischief Brew, Jonah Matranga, Chris T-T, Damien Dempsy and Bomb the Music Industry. I've also played a number of festivals such as Rebellion (2009), Lexapalooza (2008,2009) and Guilfest (2007).
Playing live is what this is all about. While I like playing in pubs and clubs, I fucking love playing house-shows. If you fancy putting me on then please get in touch, doesn't take much, usually just a group of your friends, a tiny bit of cash for petrol and a place to sleep. Food is always welcome.
My motto when playing live is that anyone watching is just as part of the show as anyone standing on the stage.

No problem man I'm absolutely loving the music! C4C means Crazy for Christ just something stupid a couple of friends and I started saying randomly and 212 stands for 212 degrees which is boiling point. we hope that we a so full of love and compassion that it begins to overflow...kinda like we are boiling with love. I know its kinda random and you may not be into that kinda thing but that's what it stands for. =]
