Alright Davy I want to get the word out about this Tuesday at de bees and thought as you are one very much central to the great group of heads based around here you might be able to help. The acoustic 8 night we do has already got a great rep. amongst the regular faces, as you know! this Tuesday is going to be a little bit special and I'd love everybody who'd appreciate it to be there, obviously would be amazing for the artists as well. I'd like to offer you the chance to have your own guest list, as you already know it's more important to us to have an appreciative audience than door money, so we'll let anyone you invite in for free. The reason I'm doing this...quality wise this is going to be a belter and I'd like it to be full. Pete and J are a breathtakingly fast emerging US independent folk/rock acoustic duo with the sort of gorgeous harmonies and finger picking acoustic guitar goodness that thousands mimic but few ever master. Good words spread fast and come 2006 the duo were getting regular comparisons to Simon and Garfunkel, appearing on compilations alongside Emmy Lou Harris and Blues Traveler and were on their way to tour the UK on the back of an invite from a major record label. They're now back in the UK for a third time inspired by the cries of promoters desperate to have them back... Paul Wilkes is supporting, Paul is the most popular artist with Pollen8 and one we have chosen to support over the last 2 years. Paul's definitive EP release is set for September on the Pollen8 recordings Label. Tonight Paul will be selling signed pre-release copies, the very first chance anyone will have to obtain a copy of this beautifully crafted collection of the favourite of Paul's songs. I'll send you a message as well to discuss further. Cheers Damon
Hey man, hope all is well. Working full time (inc. evenings at the mo) so unfortunately gigs are a bit of a no-go at the moment, which is a bit shite seeing as I managed to synchronise it with a BJM tour.
On the up side, word on the street is that the Asteroid #4 are back here in August so that'd more than make up for it.
