About me: making a difference. what does that mean? how is that idea formed into a reality? how can you tell if you are 'making a difference?' i'd like to think that some day i can be associated with that phrase. i've spent enough time living in bitterness and self-absorption the past half of a year. i guess i'm sick of it. i would like to think it's time to stop looking at things through my own perspective so much. i've been up, i've been down, high, and low. i'd like to know what it's like to be steady.
stability. what a nice idea. what a worthy cause. how does one attain it? is it something achieved? or is it something realized? is it both? i don't know. i don't have all the answers. but i'm willing to do what it takes to find out. i want things. i want comfort. i want stability. i want to love and be loved in return. i want what i guess we all want. i want to be honest. i want to be fair. i'd like to know what it's like to appreciate myself again. love my neighbor. love myself and take care of myself better so that i can love my neighbor better. i'm not afraid to take risks. i'm not afraid to fail. i'm not afraid to look like a fool. i'm not afraid of being imperfect.
I want to feel true freedom! understand myself. know what I believe and life out those beliefs - not just have them, live them! I want to be grateful, to be kind and unselfish. I want it to be said that i made a difference, in myself and in others. I want to eat all of the food on my plate and be appreciative for all that I’ve been given. I want to be honest and transparent, and not judge others too harshly or too quickly. be objective in my search for truth and keep an open mind about the efforts of others to get some kind of a grip on this endlessly frustrating little enigma we so shallowly refer to as "life."
