Dave Philp is best known for his role as the lead singer and songwriter of UK Punk/Powerpop band The Automatics, whose 'When the tanks roll over Poland again' became one of the Punk era..s best loved anthems. Dave has now completed work on the brand new Automatics album 'Britannia', a labour of love which has been 2 years in the making and the album is provisionally set for a UK release in June 2006, on the newly resurrected vintage Pop/Punk label Dork Records. In a departure from the usual 'full on' sound of The Automatics, 'Britannia' is an evocative collection songs with a common English theme.
