We are looking for New Recruits and Veteran hands to help lead them. Folks who are wiling to give about 5 hours of their time to clean up some gross trash, litter and bottle caps from some of our natural areas, quarries and favorite hiking spots. Maybe you carry-..in/carry-out every time, or maybe deep down you know you threw your share of bottle caps so you are due to pick up some trash. Either way, I am sick of hiking all the way to the top of a long ass trail to find that it looks like the sidewalk outside a variety store in downtown Lawrence. That is just wrong, but the greatest thing is that we can fix this. We don’t need a fundraiser, or a breakthrough in technology, or a capital campaign.
We can fix this entire problem with items we have lying around the house and a little elbow grease. Is it so hard to be part of the solution? Give us five hours and you will see the work that you do make a difference….simple as that!
So no complaining, no bitching, no whining….we are just going to DO WORK. If you are interested in fixing a real problem using real work and seeing real results….
The Clean up project will be conducted on April 25th in the Fellsway. This is a favorite hiking spot for many of us, and we'd like to get it cleaned up. The Massachusetts department of Parks and Recreation have agreed to provide us with the necessities such as gloves, and trashbags.We just need you to sign up and show up!! Lets show our beautiful state that the 182 CARES!
