Dave's Lounge is a weekly podcast dedicated to bringing you the best chillout, trip hop and downtempo music found on the Internet.
Not familiar with podcasting? It's the newest way to get audio programming on the Internet. All you have to do is subscribe to a podcast feed through iTunes (v4.9 or higher) or iPodder, and all the latest shows in MP3 format will be downloaded to your PC or portable MP3 player automatically. It's really easy, and it's absolutely free!
I've uploaded the first two shows to this page. If you like the music you hear, I invite you to subscribe to Dave's Lounge. If you're using iTunes, click on the Advanced tab, select Subscribe to Podcast, and enter http://www.daveslounge.com/rss as the URL. You can also use that URL with any other podcast-catching client on the Internet, or you can listen to all Dave's Lounge episodes through sites like Podcast Pickle and the Podsafe Music Network.
If you want to know more about the artists whose music is featured on Dave's Lounge, you can go to http://www.daveslounge.com/ and check out the show notes, which includes links to artists' web sites and, in some cases, their CDs. These are all great artists making great music, and they deserve your support. You'll also find links to some of my favorite podcasts at http://www.daveslounge.com/.
Artists: Do you make chillout or trip hop music? If so, send me an email at daveslounge@gmail.com with your artist name, web site, and either an MP3 file or a link to a download. (Please make sure your tracks are appropriate for Dave's Lounge before emailing me. A lot of rap groups on Myspace list themselves as "trip hop" but are really straight hip hop groups and not making downtempo electronic music like Portishead, Massive Attack or Tricky. I dig hip hop music, but it's not really appropriate for Dave's Lounge. It might be appropriate for one of these podcasts, though...)
