Dave Steffen: Guitar and Vocals
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Dave began playing guitar as a young boy, showing unusual talent even at a very early age. By the time he left high school, his band was signed to Scepter Records. Within five years, he had also released recordings with RCA and Mercury Records. His talent as a songwriter and singer, in addition to his prowess as a guitar player, earned Steffen and his band special recognition in Billboard and Cashbox magazines and the Gavin Report.
In 1986, the Dave Steffen Band headed west to the bright lights of San Francisco to experience the Bay-area music scene. During an adventurous nine-year stay, Dave worked with a variety of national musicians. Dave had his bass player from Wisconsin, Steve Olschesky join him. He soon added the great Bill Lordan on drums. Bill had played with the likes of Sly and the Family Stone and Jimi Hendrix. Among other mucisians Dave played with was the great Davey Pattison, the lead singer of GAMMA and Robin Trower. Dave had the opportunity of doing acoustic gigs with Davey that had been said to have been magic. Dave's band openned for groups like Huey Lewis and the News, Santana, Ronnie Montrose, Robin Trower, and Journey. During this time, Dave continued to write and record his own music, releasing three album
In 1995 Dave returned to Wisconsin, back to his roots. Since that time, he has performed both with his band, another local band, The String Benders and as an acoustic act with his bass/guitar player Craig Neuser. His ability to adapt to so many music environments is the mark of a skilled professional.
Craig Neuser: Bass and Vocals
Dave recruited Craig back in 1997. He was a fresh local talent with a great voice. His talent has grown and matured over the years playing with Dave.
Spencer Panosh: Drums
Spencer is a new addition to the Dave Steffen band. He was formerly with the Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin' Alter Boys. He brings great energy to the band.
Anyone who has heard the Dave Steffen Band play live understands that their music is more than just notes.
