Dave is a Rocket Scientist by day (as much as there is such a thing) and a songwriter as often as he can be. Along with Donny Grace, he serves as an area Co-Coordinator of the North Alabama NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) chapter.
He began playing guitar when he was 9 years old. He briefly took piano lessons and he played the trumpet in high school. He played guitar with friends in various garage bands throughout the years. Somewhere along the way the desire of actually writing an original song was born. The first full song was written in high school which was followed by several more bad songs in college. After college and a few years of making his way in the real world, he drifted back to his love of playing the guitar and songwriting.
Dave is a native to the Tennessee valley. Born in Huntsville, AL and raised in Fayetteville, TN. He currently resides in Madison, Alabama with his wife of 20+ years and makes his living in the world as an engineer. When hes not behind a guitar, you can usually find him on top of a bike seat or out on a run training for another Ironman triathlon.

Hey Dave... Hope your studio is coming along. We got ours remodeled so it's more professional looking now. Sounds a little better, too.
We wanted to ask you personally to give our new song, "I'll Cheat" a listen. We'll probably be playing it at NSAI, but you always have such good feedback.
Hey Dave, Wanted to wish you and yours Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. When ya coming back to hit song casa in Nashville? Mitch will be here in January. Nice website. Never knew you were a rocket scientist! Joyce Medlock

Sorry I had to slip out of the meeting so quickly last night. I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it!!! I plan to pull up the lesson today and work with it. Thanks so much for all your hard work and all your support!!!
Hi Dave! You got some nice writing going on. I have absolutely loved that song you co-wrote with Terri titled "Dreamin' 'Bout Dancin'". What an awesome song! Loved it from the very first time I heard it. It's not surprising at all to me that it got cut almost immediately after it was published. Great job!
