| Bio | A Native of Miami, Florida, David is a performer with energy to spare. A product of a Cuban-Colombian marriage, David enjoyed opportunities that many children like him desired, the chance to make fun of your parents' Spanish accents. Pulling pranks on the doctor in the delivery room, David was a comedian from the day he was born. After spending time performing in high school competitions and performing to rave reviews, he attended New World School of the Arts College where he majored in Theater. At the same time he began performing stand-up in South Florida, and working with the Miami-based Laughing Gas improv troupe. Taking a break from the mundane, David enlisted in the Marine Corps to become a Russian linguist and offend a whole new culture. While in the Marine Corps, he made short films and performed various stage productions. He also produced and hosted a TV show Guerrilla Filmmaking while stationed in Monterey, California, which can still be seen on some of the local networks. Dave is insightful, smart and very funny. He breaks all stereotypes and connects well with the audience. Dave has graced the stages of Bocanuts, Wiseacres, Dr. Dremos, The Comedy Spot, The New Theater, The University of Miami, The Colony Theater in Miami Beach, The Players Theater in Sarasota and several others. He now calls Northern Virginia home and when hes not in Russia, he can be seen at various venues around the greater DC area. He lists his dog as his hero and he loves Jolly Ranchers. But, not the new ones...the old ones. |
