Where do I begin? My rythm style comes from the 90's Seattle Era mixed with the old country /rockabilly sound. Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, etc... Along with that, the music from the 60's and 70's weighs heavily on me.

I grew up in a backwoods town in KY. Throughout my childhood, all I had to listen to was old school country and bluegrass. Somewhere around the age of 16, I got turned on to Nirvana and 90's rock. Since then, my love and passion for music has consumed me. If it's got a beat and a purpose, I can dig it.
My playing background goes back to around the same time as my musical awakening. My grandparents had an old guitar sitting around that I had always beat on as a young child. One day, I decided to pick it up and see if I could figure out how to play "Come As You Are." The rest is history.
I move from KY to Nashville in 1996 to go to college. What an awakening that was. Coming from a small town, I had never been exposed to many of the everyday things going on in the real world. Needless to say, I matured hard and fast. It was a rough time for me because all of the certainties of life had been yanked out from under me.
Since then, life has been your standard roller coaster ride. My songs tell the stories.
