Dav has been DJ’ing for over 10 years now. His desire to become a DJ came from watching the likes of Tony de Vit, Tall Paul, Seb Fontaine, Judge Jules & Carl Cox all spinning tunes back in the mid 90’s. His early experiences of playing out were landing various slots at some of the local bars & clubs around his home town of Bournemouth. But then in November 2002 he finally got his break when HE WON his Residency playing for South Coast Super Club – Slinky! Dav was chosen from hundred’s of entries & was invited by Slinky promoter’s at the time Dave Lee & Clare Hore to become monthly resident along with joint winner Jon Gurd – Finally Dav’s dream of playing along side his DJ’ing hero’s was to become true.
Since becoming Slinky Resident, Dav has landed on the same line ups as some of the biggest superstars of the DJ world. Playing alongside names such as, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Mauro Picotto, Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes, Eddie Halliwell, John 00 Fleming, Signum, John Askew, John O’Callaghan, Sander van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Adam Sheridan, Simon Patterson, Above & Beyond, Graham Gold, Marco V, The Tidy Boys, Anne Savage, Lisa Pin Up, Rob Tissera, Dave Pearce, Matt Hardwick, the list goes on & on. As well as playing at Slinky Tours all around the country at clubs such as, The Opera House, Slammin Vinyl's Sanctuary Festival, The Emporium, SeOne, Creation, Lakota, Samantha’s, Venom & Bristol’s Carling Academy Dav has also played for other Brands such as PaSSion, WiLDCHiLD, Vaccine at Turnmills, Koolwaters, Union & Sound Proj-X. Using his signature sound of Tough & Uplifting Blends of Trance & Tech & his tune selection being influenced by names such as John Askew, John O’Callaghan, Paul van Dyk, Sander van Doorn & Ferry Corsten, Dav has smashed dance floors wherever he has played. He has a strong presence behind the decks & shows that he is truely in love with the music & sound that he plays.
Playing for Slinky all these years has been a dream come true, says Dav. Being a Slinky regular from day one & then to suddenly be playing along side some of the DJ’s that I have has just been unreal. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it & it has been a real honour. I have so many people to be thankful to for getting where I am today.
