Many and varied, several of which I'd do well not to discuss in public. I'm particularly fond of aeroplanes, fine dining and drinking and indulging my fondness for things old-fashioned.

Movies
A wide range again, from Ingmar Bergman to Arnold Schwarzenegger: it's all down to mood. I do admit to a soft spot for old black & white movies, especially film noir and Fred Astaire musicals.
Television
Mythbusters, Doctor Who, CSI, House, Battlestar Galactica, The Dresden Files and Bones. Almost nothing else, with a special emphasis on avoiding anything I'm on!
Books
Two so far, working on the next.
Heroes
T. E. Lawrence, David Niven, Arthur Wellesley, Tom Campbell-Black, Bill Hicks, Orson Welles, Geoffrey de Havilland and others.I have a special place in my heart for those who just get on with the things that need doing and those who know the right time and place for bucking the chain of command. People who can improvise under pressure get a big thumbs up from me, too.
Former stand-up comedian and scriptwriter/voice artist for The Gentlemen's Club, author of "Memoirs of an Exorcist" (Andre Deutsch, 2006) and "Hunter's Moon" (Gollancz, 2007). Paranormal consultant and occasional talking head.
Who I'd like to meet: Interesting people, people who like my literary (and I use the word only in the technical sense, I assure you) work, outrageously beautiful women who like to do rude things with bald Cornishmen, excellent tailors, daring aviators and people who want to give me vast amounts of money.
