Hi my name is David Courtney. I have been privalaged to have spent my life in the music business, from a struggling musician back in the early sixties to eventually becoming an successful international composer and record producer. I have extremely proud to say that during my career I have worked with some of the legendary names in music such as: Roger Daltrey, (The Who) Dave Gilmore (Pink Floyd) Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) Steve Cropper (Blues Bros) to name but a few. A significant moment and achievement in my career was when I discovered a guy called Gerry Sayer at an audition in Brighton in 1972 who went onto become international recording artist Leo Sayer. Leo and I co wrote all the hits and I also produced his records. We are still great buddies and I am delighted to see him currently back at the No.1 slot in the UK charts.
In 2004 I set up the WHITEROOM, a music development label devised specifically to offer UK unsigned music talent a marketing and promotional platform. I currently co host two radio shows in the UK based around The WHITEROOM concept, a weekly show which I co host with Mike Mendoza on Talk Sport radio 1059/ 1053 am now the leading commercial radio station in the UK. (you can also listen online at www.talksport.co.uk.The show broadcasts on Sunday mornings between 4-5am I have recorded and released three solo albums and two new project albums"Men in White Coats" and "Sex With a Stranger" were released in April 2007. I am a big fan of MY SPACE which we constantly mention on the radio shows and which I acknowledge as being of great benfit to the many musicians and bands out there helping them to spread the word. I beleive that the major record companies loss has been the internet's gain and at last empowers artists allowing them market themselves direct to a global audience. Well done My Space.
Hey David....I just heard from Sue M~ who said that she had spoken to you...here's a little trip down memory lane for you....I sent this to Leo last week...I picked it up at a boot sale for a quid to put up on the studio wall...Leo says the jacket was made by a Chinese guy for him...and had a big lion on the back with "Leo Sayer USA" on it.

JBL full range speakers with a 20 channel desk with built in effects. A good powerfull yet easy to use system. We even offer a drop off and collection service including set up.

1.5k rig inc. 3 mics/leads and stands inc, drop off set up and pick up= £80 per night.

Aditional mics/leads = £5 Mic stands = £5 Floor monitors = £20 Sound engineers available from £10 per hour.
