“Everything to Lose”, was released nationally in October
on EastSound Records. (Burnside Distribution)
The eleven tracks on "Everything to Lose" demonstrate new heights of musical maturity and writing. This recording focuses very much around David’s piano playing and intimate, breathy-tenor singing voice. "Everything to Lose". (Burnside Distribution)
“Everything to Lose” will surely draw new comparisons of musical style to his song-writing and has already stirred an industry buzz for large independent labels.
David comes from an extensive background of both touring and recording, as a solo artist and with his super-successful indie-act CALOBO. During his near 20-year career, David has shared the stage with such acts as Jimmy Cliff, Jethro Tull, Indigo Girls, Sarah McGlachlan, Train, Dwight Yoakum, Little Feat, Vonda Shepard, String Cheese Incident, Ani DiFranco, Quiet Riot, Jorma Kaukoman, Tony Furtado, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and many more.
“Everything to Lose” marks the 8th release for David in his career. CALOBO released 5 records on Padre Records from 1991 to 2001, collectively selling nearly 85,000 copies. David’s debut solo release “The Little Things” (Padre Records 1996) charted on three different Top 20 sales charts in the Northwest in its’ first month. David’s second release “Get Me Out of This Place” (Padre Records 2001) received substantial national attention via domestic AAA radio, Digital Radio Network, and international sales and radio play through Italy, Venezuala, Japan, Denmark, Brazil, and Holland.
“The pursuit of dreams and the longing for love has rarely sounded so achingly beautiful. Or intelligent. This is a great introduction to his talent as a songwriter and a singer but there’s one small problem…it’s over too fast.” Performing Songwriter Magazine
“Andrews has shown that he has mastered the art of the four-minute, finely crafted song…the melodies are eloquent and the songs are colored with tasteful embellishments that draw on folk, rock and country.
Highly recommended.” Relix Magazine
“Laid-back, confident and catchy…here, (Andrews) shows off his intuitive understanding of songwriting, understated guitar playing, Bob Seger-ish voice, and exploratory, humble lyrics, complete with a few well-worn clichés for that down home feel…a simple pleasure.” The Rocket Magazine
“These are compelling songs, especially when delivered in Andrews’ whisky-tinged tenor.” The Oregonian
“A very listenable collection with a big, pro sound.” Boise Weekly
"Andrews is blessed with sandy, supple voice. He's also a gifted, melody-oriented songwriter." Idaho Statesman
“David Andrews is an engaging performer, if not particularly electrifying.” Two louies magazine
“…a shimmering collection of material from a promising songwriter with a long, glorious future ahead of him. The Music Box

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
