A life of holiness, obedience, and consecration ---> being "set apart" begins with hearing the call to come out from whatever life you thought represented being alive, and instead journeying with the author of life into the truth of what real life was intended to be. Then an absolute surrender, and obedience to THAT call. It is about laying the proper foundation in order to build a trust based relationship with the King of Kings. To finally find ourselves IN HIM, and truly have not a want for this world. Where we trust his guidance in our lives such that we DO believe it is the best for our lives. Where the collective goal of what we do finds its point in giving God the Glory. The achievement of that becomes the only currency of value to us. In short, our hearts become His. We beat as one. For the lost, for the building up of the found. How can we truly "Go" anywhere, at any time, to any place, to anyone, in any situation, and come out of every comfort zone in said things until we are truly broken before the Lord and in real honest truth willing to do these things ? He will supply all our needs, and meet the demand of each moment he sends us to, but our part is the willingness and then choice to Go out. Even if it is across the kitchen table or across the hall, down the street, or through the mall. Moment by moment do our lives reflect death to ourselves and our innate normal choices, such that we truly make way for the life of God to rise up within us and meet these moments in Resurrection power. To whisper an invitation into our day to do something we would not normally, or feel equipped to do. In these moments he invites us to allow His Life to be lived in ours. He is alive folks, but are we weak and broken in our ability and will to attempt blessing his kingdom through our own strength, ingenuity and power, and instead bringing those things, the things of "us" to the cross so that the Lord Jesus Himself can then "rise" in us and breath his life through willing and humble(d) vessels. His life is undefeatable, unending, and indescribable. It never fails. It drives out all fear; It is peace. You may not see what is going on or understand when God takes the reigns, but he is the author of salvation and surely can direct your tongue, hands and feet to that end far better than you. His grace is sufficient to supply the need of the moment. Rest. “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit”, says the Lord (Zech. 4:6). "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
