A native of central Illinois, David has been playing acoustic guitar for over 30 years. His playing has been influenced by a wide variety of artists including Chet Atkins, Doc Watson, Gregg Allman, Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Rev. Gary Davis, and Jorma Kaukonen.
David’s music is propelled by a hard-driving alternating thumb. Add plenty of blues licks, hammer-ons, pull-offs, and bends, and before you know it you’ll be tapping your foot to the infectious beat.
And smiling.
hey, David, thanks for finding me here. you got me thinking about fingerpicking more, been working on alternating thumb... hope to see you again soon- Peter
Thanks for the kind comments David, and for the kudos on the Donohue song, I do love that song.
I really like Often the Distance.
Bully, my friend!
Keep on pickin'!
Hey David,
I had a great time doing the show with you last night. Sorry the turnout wasn't a little better, but I hope you felt it was worth the trip. Listened to your CDs on my way to and back from an all-day Saturday meeting (ugh!) for my day job. Fabulous! Here's hoping our paths cross again soon.
Blessings,
Dean
