David Black was born in 1978 in Bangor, North Wales, and began playing the guitar at the age of 10. In 2000 he graduated with First Class Honours from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where he studied with Allan Neave. In 2004 he completed an MMus at the Royal College of Music, London, studying with Gary Ryan.
David regularly performs solo, as one half of the 'Albach Guitar Duo' and is a member of the contemporary music group 'rarescale'. Recent concerts have taken him to Germany and San Francisco where he gave a concert for the 'Old Firsts' Series.
He currently teaches guitar at Blackheath, Old Palace, St Olave's, and Crown Woods schools, and lives in South East London.
The Albach Duo's debut CD - 'The Raw And The Cooked' - was launched earlier this year with a sold out concert at Blackheath Halls. Follow the links below for sample tracks...

The school did notify me so no worries there just hope everything is ok your end. I'm on a university trip next week which is compulsory so i have no choice but to miss your lesson, don't worry i will keep practicing and hope to see you the week after unless thats half term im not sure :S
wow peru that sounds wicked, glad to hear the musics going well. the bands also going pretty well we headlined a gig at the camden barfly a few weeks ago which was amazing lol was kinda like a personal goal of mine lol. ahh good old guitar group, how they getting along? i might be in next wednesday to pick up a level certificate things if i am ill pop up to music n say hello if ya there.
