"Despite the title of his sophomore release, Canadian singer-songwriter David Blair holds nothing back ... Endearing and affecting, [Things Left Unsaid] provides listeners an unforgettable soundtrack for any occasion."
-- Performing Songwriter, Mar/Apr 2009
“I find David's songs compelling. They are full of strong intelligent lyrics creating wonderful images and heartfelt moods, all driven by catchy musical hooks with simple but very good arrangements. I am a believer that no one delivers a song quite like the writer and David is singing proof of that."
- DALE RUSSELL – former guitarist/songwriter for THE GUESS WHO
"With his smooth voice and even smoother delivery, Blair brings to our scened-out music scene a refreshing and long-absent attack in the war against artist obscurity, all the while using the true songwriter's weapons of choice: Honesty and talent." - 24 hrs Magazine

"Standing with acoustic guitar in hand, David performed a 30 minute set, consisting of tracks from Things Left Unsaid, and his first release, Hard To Control. Instantly I was making comparisons to Jason Mraz, and John Mayer, with the boyish charm and charisma of Maroon 5 front man, Adam Levine. [...]
I sat there just mesmerized, as his passion and enjoyment for playing music came through with every note, and word he sang, with a voice so smooth and pure with effortless range." -- Shannon Ambrose, The Portal Magazine

About me:
I always had crushes on girls - never went through the stage of not liking girls - they were always cool to me and I always wanted their attention - so its no wonder I got involved in music at a young age writing about love and all that gushy stuff!
During my rock band stage - I was always freaked out about being on stage, but opportunities continued to present themselves to me and my band -opening for 'Nickelback', and bands that would eventually become 'Theory of a Deadman' and 'Default'. I tried to quit music - I really did - but somehow an opportunity or someone would inspire me to get back to writing - which would inevitably make me want to show someone the songs - ok show a lot of people -which brought me back to wanting to be an artist!
After much procrastination (I'm really good at that) I finally released my first album in the summer of '07 - self-produced, self-engineered, self-written and just barely avoiding self-inflicted wounds - I had some of the best times of my life touring southern California for 3 months and then touring the east coast of the US a couple months later ending up in NYC! The people I met will affect me forever!
So here I am now - presenting to you my second album - 'Things Left Unsaid' - I put all my blood, sweat and tears into it - its 12 pictures or 'snippets' of a time of my life that I won't forget - some reflections, some internal battles that I've come to accept, and words that I think are left unsaid too often when it comes to the people that count the most to us! I hope you enjoy the songs that I've put here for your listening enjoyment! Please comment me and let me know what you think - its because of you that I can survive in this world! :)
My mama says to say, that she's been listening to your cd's alot, and every time she hears the songs she loves them more and more :) I second that. I have to say that inspires me in my own writing!
Hey David, that was an inspiring set tonight. You're quite enchanting. I thought I'd post on your myspace page and see if I can draw some of those mesmorized ladies to my sight for a while. Not so subtly, but hey...

One question that always arises and is often confusing is what time the show will be for people elsewhere about the globe.
Here is a link for Worldtime Conversion! Input is "USA East Coast" Underneath "New York City" on chart to compare final result:
Cancer is the weapon of human destruction and so many people are diagnosed with this on a daily basis. Whether we like it or not we're all affected by this C word because every one of us am sure knows one or more people with some form of it right now or who had it - some lucky people are fortunate to survive it, but many unfortunately don't, sadly. For this reason it's sooo important that money is donated for cancer research so there are better treatments and even cures for the various forms of cancer. Stand Up To Cancer is a great cause that you should add, support and see what you can do to help. Personally, I'm already thinking about doing some sort of personal project to raise money myself so that I can donate to SUTC. I support many causes, but right now this one is close to my heart because recently I lost an old school friend of mine to it.
Come out and enjoy good music and great beer on September 12th
