I’ve been tattooing since August 2001, mostly in Florida. Before that, I attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in the Illustration department. I believe in a bold graphic approach to tattooing, making ground-breaking pieces you can see from across the street but still have tons of illustrious detail to delve into at close range. My foundation is in traditional tattooing but I draw from all genres and disciplines to culminate in an approach where I ultimately follow my own instincts. My tattoos are built to stand out and hold up over the span of a lifetime.
I love tattooing. I love the synergy of working with another individual to create a piece of art that brings out the best in me for you. I give every tattoo my undivided attention and give my clients the best of my capabilities.
In addition to tattooing, I practice other forms of art, mostly watercolor painting and oil painting. Painting allows me to explore other visual forms and subject matter that separates from my tattoo work yet compliments it. I believe all forms of art mutually make each other richer, so I try to be broad. Many of my pieces are for sale- information is on this page, along with prints, the occasional tattoo machine and eventually t-shirts and other items coming soon.
I’m a devoted father to my two boys, Ezekiel and Abraham. I love them all with all of my heart; they give my life purpose and clarity. I would do anything for them. They bring out the best in me. Ezekiel (Zeke) is six and in kindergarten, practices soccer, and loves star wars, indiana jones, legos and all subsequent combinations thereof borderline obsessively, haha. Abraham (Abe) is our little guy at two years old. He’s our rough and tumble boy, though incredibly loving and sweet. He’s into Elmo and all things “Noggin” and running around making animal noises.
Outside of all of this I also practice yoga at yogalife studio in Norman, OK, and am taking teacher training throughout 2009. Yoga has been a godsend for me. I have developed it into a regular practice, and I am continuing to get into better shape. Also, I’ve seen changes in the balance of my life and my happiness and clarity.
