Hi David...a little note to let you know my album I Am Liberated is now officially out and about and lurking in the racks of Rough Trade record shop. I think you'd make a great mystery shopper!
Two albums at once?! No wonder you're feeling drained! I hereby give you full legal and binding permission to soup up my popular beat song Bored With The Past and include it on your forthcoming recorded work (look forward to hearing what you mean by souped-up)!! My album (I Am Liberated) is due out mid-November, but I'll keep you posted on that. Gigwise, the last Wed of October (28th) is The Studio's monthly open mic night, and I'm usually there doing my thang. T'would be great to see you, t-t-t-truly...
Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.
You are very prolific, how do you find time to eat and sleep? I'm looking forward to hearing some more new stuff. I've a couple of new songs, just can never find time to record them!
The legend lives on...how the devil are you sir? Ta for the cryptic review of my new songs. It's in the hands of my solicitor now! I like Kiss & Brawl- vintage Craigie but with bonus lead guitar break. You tease!
Hi David. You're probably aware by now that The Studio open mike night has dropped to just once a month (next one being Wed 5 November) so our planned "reunion" tonight will have to wait. An absolute wazzer, but I'm sure it will happen one of these nights. Bye for now.
22nd then- it's a date! I'll be trying out some new stuff myself so should be interesting! Or crap!! Whatever, looking forward to catching up with our Times correspondent.
its great you're coming back and would love to come and have a listen. The studio is only on once a month now so i'll check if its on the 22nd as i'm not sure :)
The move went well yeah! Got a years temporary residency over here to get sorted out with staying. I'm living in Calgary. We've got a nice little basement suite. It's really cheap but really nice.
Unfortunately I'm back to basics recording wise. I have an Apple MacBook with an inbuilt microphone and a really crap guitar.
The Times eh? My paper of choice sir. I love the Body & Soul pullout every Saturday! Ta for the nice comments- I am chuffed with how the new songs turned out, and they seem to be working live as well. Not that I've done many gigs recently- just got back from Japan which was a fantastic experience, esp Hiroshima. Definitely feeling inspired by the place... Anyway, better get gone- I'm supposed to be working ha ha!!
