  • The Second Best Blog of All Time

So, in the almost 10 years that we have been doing this, we have received countless emails. And we have read pretty much every single one of them.

What I want to present to you, right here, is the second best email of all time. (Received tonight, October 17th, 2009.)

    Name: mark
    Email: xxxx_x@xxxx.com

    Message:
Hi. Gotta say I'm not a fan. It would be good for DCB to just stop making "music". I encourage you to find something, ANYTHING else to do. Wash cars, clean toilets, flip burgers. You gotta be more gifted at these things than you are at singing. Thanks.

    Dear Mark,
    This seriously made our day.
    All the best,
    Hogan

  • Surprise Release Week Show added! Hollywood here we come!!!!

As you guys probably know by now, we are releasing our new record, Church Music, on September the 22nd. But here is something you don't know (at least until you read this, at which point you will know...)

We are honored to be playing a special release week show on the 24th at the famous Roxy in Hollywood! This place is historic in the annals of rock music. It was opened in 1973 on the 23rd of September (we are playing there the day after its birthday!!), and has hosted some pretty legendary musical acts. Neil Young played there during its opening week, and the doors have been graced by such luminaries as Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Nirvana, and David Bowie. It was even the place where Pee-Wee Herman was introduced to the world. (While this may not openly appear to be a rock and roll moment, trust us, it probably was.)

Regardless - We will be there on the 24th, and we want to see you there, too. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, and seating is super limited (its a really small place).

Hey L.A., Lets rock and roll together, shall we?
