About me: My music career started in Switzerland where I played with several original acts including Ethica and Drama.
I moved to Boston in 1999 to attend Berklee College of Music where I gained a degree in bass performance and Contemporary Writing and Production. Throughout my 4 years at Berklee I had the pleasure to play and record with many talented artists, including Joe Faulder, Natalie Stovall and Tiff Jimber. After graduation, in 2003 I moved to Chicago.
Since then I had the chance to work with several local songwriters and recording artists, including the grammy nominated band Liquid Soul. I'm currently touring with Think Floyd USA - The American Pink Floyd Show which offers a fully staged rendition of the classics of Pink Floyd.
I teach bass, music theory and ear training and I'm also available for live and recording projects.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to find talented singer/songwriters in the Chicago area to form a small original act able to gig around town during the week.
Hope you and yours had a great holiday. We're playing a show this Fri 1/30 at the Elbo Room. We've been recording our new EP over the past few weeks and will be playing it in it's entirety for the first time. This will be our last show until Dave gets back from tour in April...don't miss it! Mike
Minneapolis Song Circle at Bills Blues on Thanksgiving Sunday. 7 pm. Please help spread the word. Lonnie Knight is a great fingerstyle player, Laurie Akermark has this beautiful deep voice, and I get Chicago's Michi on violin. Wear your favorite shoes.
Heaven wheels above you, displaying to you her eternal glories, and still your eyes are on the ground. ~Dante Alighieri
The man who never in his mind and thoughts travel'd to heaven is no artist. ~William Blake
What can be more foolish than to think that all this rare fabric of heaven and earth could come by chance, when all the skill of art is not able to make an oyster! ~Anatole France
Davide...I hope you are well and the music of your soul is enlightening the energy of your fingers to play vibrations that excite the imaginations of others! I hope you have a very self-explorative birthday this April.
